I am Nihar Dudhatra, a resident of Junagadh, Gujarat. I had visited Surat, Gujarat on Saturday, 06-August-2022, for bidding farewell to my friend, who is leaving for USA for higher studies.
Travelling for a long time and reaching Surat very late, I had booked the room in the Lords Plaza. Since, both o[censored]s were running low on time, I had asked her to visit my hotel where we can meet each other for the last time before she starts her new endevour. While booking the room, I had read all the terms and conditions, and only then I had booked a room at 2 A.M.
While checking in, they denied to let my friend in the hotel just because she had a local ID proof. Now, this thing was not mentioned in the terms and conditions of makemytrip.com portal.
After discussing this with the hotel manager ad the receptionist, they denied entry to me and rudely told me and my friend to meet outside the hotel premises. I had paid ₹4233 for the booking and received a very bad and unprofessional treatment.
Above all, they did not mention this in their terms and conditions. I could not use my booking and I was not even refunded my money. makemytrip.com portal does not have option for logging this type of complaint.
By writing this to you, I want to get appropriate help and solution to this issue,
I hope the concerned authority will do the needful. Looking forward to hearing from you.
