MakeMyTrip India — Showing Seat available, but after booking completed, not allotting selected Seat

I have processed for a Flight booking from Bhubaneswar (BBI) to Mumbai (BOM) for 24th November, 2021 through your web portal. While processed for booking, I had selected the First Row Window Seat (4F) for which an additional amount of Rs. 1000/- was added to the Ticket price of Rs. 5, 382/- and accordingly I paid Rs. 6, 382/- in total for the booking of my ticket under Booking ID: NF7QJ0T6J1IZYJU24284 and PNR Y2607.

After the Payment being made and Booking is completed, I received an email from MMT side that the Additional request for Selection of Seat is not completed, however booking remains confirmed. Refund of Rs. 1, 000/- initiated.

I have processed this booking according to the availability of First Row seat (4F) for a very important VIP [Mr. Yogi Sriram (Group HR Head - L&T)] and hence I paid the total money at a time. If the selected seat was not available at the time of booking then the total booking needed to be cancelled and full refund of Rs. 6, 382/- must be initiated instead of Rs. 1, 000/-. Or I must have been informed about the non-availability of selected seat, before completion of booking the Ticket, and after my approval Ticket to be booked with other seat selection (as in case of IRCTC).

It's beyond the ethical practice of MakemyTrip, to show the availability of Seats on their portal and after booking denying the allotment of the selected seat by just refunding the part payment collected towards the seat selection. As I have already booked the required ticket with another Airline with the same required the First Row Window Seat, for my VIP guest you are requested to refund my full paid amount of Rs. 6, 382/- at an earliest.
