My Andaman trip was scheduled on 15th February 2022. I had an option to change the dates/cancel the booking upto 3rd February 2022. However, I received information about the travel restrictions in Andaman on 4th February, from one of the MMT staff. She informed me that I will be able to either change the dates or go to Andaman as per the plan. Since the new information came to light only on 4th February, I wanted a cancellation with refund instead of date change. However, MMT denied for the same and cancelled the bookings suo moto. It is still showing me as cancelled. I have wasted 80000 rupees on a holiday I never went and will never go to.
If there is no action from MMT India, I am preparing to file for Consumer Court.
