MakeMyTrip India — Unfair Rejection Of Refund

A month ago on November 25th I booked a hotel room at Club Florence, Gurgaon via MakeMyTrip. I showed up at the hotel, and was DENIED check-in on the basis of there being only 8 hours left till checkout time, and that I had requested for late checkout on MMT booking page. I assured the drunken rude man at the reception multiple times that it was only a request, and I know late checkout wasnt guranteed. He could give it a try, and if not, I would leave at the normal checkout time.
Instead of just giving us the key like a sane human being, Mr. Ganesh here decided to keep arguing with us for a solid 2 hours, including abusing us, shouting at us, and even walking upto me like he was going to hit me. His quotes include "JAAO MMT SE REFUND LELO NAHI DUNGA CHAABI BH*SDIKE".
So obviously we called MMT SUPPORT, who even heard his foul language while on the call, and told us the refund would be processed within 2 hours, it was taking longer due to some technical difficulties. And it's a month later, I have not gotten my refund, and the person who insulted us in the middle of a 4 star hotel is still working there, probably laughing about how some guy PAID 7600 RUPEES to get screamed at and not even get a room.
I have CONTACTed the hotel a dozen times on the phone and a went there couple of times in person, and the manager of the hotel who was not present that night denies everything I say, essentially calling me a liar. His version of events is complete ###. What reason would there be for me going to a hotel with a prepaid booking, handing my drivers license within the first 5 minutes, and then not being given a room for almost 2 hours? The only version of the story that makes sense is mine, because it's the truth. There is no other explanation for us not being checked in for 2 hours while standing in the lobby with a prepaid booking and ID in hand..
I've called MMT and my CREDit card provider several times as well, explained the situation to at least a dozen people, and what it comes down to is the hotel has already recieved the payment FOR A ROOM THEY DIDNT GIVE ME, and thus it's in their hands. And the hotel manager is blindly protecting his unprofessional employee, and refuses to give me a refund, and THE BEST he offered was a "discounted" room (from the hotels desk price) for 1000 more than it was available online anyway.
I DESERVE MY REFUND, I MADE A BOOKING, WENT TO THE HOTEL, DID NOT GET CHECKED IN, AND DIDNT EVEN GET MY MONEY BACK! And thats keeping aside the fact that the vulgar man at the reception deserved a punch in the face, not my 7600 rupees for free.
