Tickets booked for Indian Passport holder, Student with F1 Visa through MMT for Virgin Atlantic flight for US.
When trying contacting Airline for Extra Baggage Allowance - FIRST of all I had to wait for 1long hour to speak to them on call - THEN the Airline said you are not eligible to travel as its via / layover at London, UK. Airline said you should have booked to Delta Airline WebSite also its MMT's mistake. They also dropped a mail and said since we have an contract we cannot reveal anything vital so only contact MMT for any further Questions.
I got confused and called MMT - MMT said confirm with US Embassy/Consulate, we are not aware of any such fact.
I tried contacting US Embassy - They said to contact UK Embassy/Consulate.
I tried mailing and contacting UK Embassy - They say you contact Airline.
So I thought to directly visit Airline office and confirm, I check on Google and found they are open till 5pm, I moved and reached there by 4pm, but Airline staff werent there and someone said they shall reach here after 7.30pm, and we thought of waiting and They arrived by 11.pm but met us at 11.50pm and that too for 2min and said we cannot do anything you contact MMT.
And the good thing is you cannot contact MMT - When you call MMT they have fix set of menu, wherein you cannot speak to customer service executive. When you mail they send automated response stating contact via app or webpage. And webpage Bot is same like preset answer. SO OVERALL No one to hear our Plea.
Then my Next though was to cancel the tickets and book another NOW the NEW STORY starts - Earlier when I booked It was like per ticket around 12200/- ie 24400/- for 2tickets shall be deducted and now its saying Your refund amount as Rs.10700/-approx for both the tickets. My actual Ticket cost was 71990/-
I Finally Pray to MMT to issue me Alternate Ticket cost of Rs.112729/-
