[Resolved] MakeMyTrip — paid for hotel, not forwarding payment to hotel, neither refunding. | |||
Hi, i booked a flight and 2 hotels in usa from makemytrip.com. 1st booking for san fransisco on 9th nov - 11 nov 2017, with booking id nh[protected], which i paid rs.18403.07 in full by credit card. 2nd hotel was in las vegas from 11 nov to 13 nov. I wanted to cancel the las vegas hotel and not the one in san fransisco. The rep cancelled the incorrect one and when i called to get it re insested, i was told it is non refundable and will contact hotel. I got a call back stating that hotel declined to keep confirmation for something i already paid. It sounded fishy so i called hotel direct on embassy hotel san francisco, 610 polk street, san francisco, ca, 94102 usa Civic center, san francisco, us Contact: +[protected], [protected] I got response from them that they never got any notification of booking from makemytrip and they said will keep the booking for you, just ask them to send the email mentioning the payment you made to them. I called back make my trip and had to make 25 calls, everytime was getting hung up. Finally got to speak with girl named supriya, who heard the story and asked me that she ll fix it and email back, now she emailed back that hotel declined the reservation. I asked to either send the payment confirmation to hotel or refund the money and they declined both. Just trying to steal money. Supposed to forward payment to hotel which they are not doing, wrong practice. Hotel people are ready to be a witness in everything mentioned here. I can forward all emails. In reference to your complaint, while validating your case we have found that, our concern team has handled your case and as per your request they have checked to either re-instate the booking with hotel or for full refund. However, as per vendor’s policy once the booking is cancelled on their system the same cannot be re-instate also booking fall under non-refundable policy so no refund in this booking would be possible.
