Maruti Insurance — vehicle insurance for ignis after giving chq on time kataria motors baroda asking for late fee charges

My renewal for ignis was due on 8 of oct 2019 and as per the quotation i paid them on 7 oct 2019.
They on the next day requested for car photo for renewal due to which as per them the submission was delayed by them.
I had given what was asked for in time and now they are asking for late fee charges.
Why should i pay if there is no fault of ours
