A simple reversal request has not been completed after 6 weeks of follow-up, a technical failure from @MaxBupa has taken weeks of my time and after all the frustrating follow up the issue is not solved. The call center is acknowledging the due amount but has been incapable of solving it with a "technical glitch" as an excuse.

The total amount to be refunded is INR 9, 171 (8, 337+834) for the product ReAssure with reference customer ID as [protected] and Application Form No as[protected]. This is one of the worst insurance experiences I had. I would like to request a full refund.

    I was convinced into porting my existing HDFC ergo policy optima restore family floater plan into Max Bupa Reassure family floater plan with more or less same policy features with slightly lesser premium. I was verbally confirmed on the call that policy would be ported and issued within 48 hrs and I got an online payment receipt for Rs.19, 918/- (yearly premium) on 26/7/21 . My existing policy of HDFC ergo expired on 27/7/21 and my family is out of any health coverage . After making several phone calls to one Mr. Priyank who is the Relationship manager of Max Bupa who originally handled my phone call and did all the formalities and speaking to their colleagues over the helpline I was again assured policy or confirmation email will be issued latest by 29/7/21 EOD but nothing happened . Now I am stuck my existing policy of HDFC ergo has expired and my new policy from max bupa has been not issued . I requested them several time we are going through very tough times of covid kindly me the confirmation on email or issue policy but for the last 5 days I am getting one statement it is under process . I want my policy to be immediately issued, if not the can cancel my application return my money so that I can use that money to renew my existing policy from HDFC ergo.       Today I am writing this email to all of you just because I am not getting proper reply or solution of my wife's claim ID 671501 ( Naasara Husain ). I have submitted the entire document on 19th May 2021. But till date I am just chasing for the amount. I have given my account details along with the cheque copy, account statement & legal heir affidavit, but still my wife's account updated there.
      My wife's account has been freeze due deceased case but you guys are not changing in your system, now today again I spoke to customer care & he is saying that I spoke to payment department your payment will process very soon please wait 1 more week.
      I just want to know 1 thing from all of you that what is you TAT to resolve any query, because same query every time I am asking & your team is stretching 1 week again & again, your policy is too expensive from others but after that we have taken Max Bupa only just because for the service & easy to resolve the things, but trust me this is the first time I am using this policy in last 6 years. I am your old customer & renewing this policy every year without any delay & fist time I have used it but result is very bad as expected.
      I will not recommend anyone for the Max Bupa in my life & even next year I will port my policy to other company I am 60+ I am a senior citizen & my wife expired in this pandemic. I am suffering from bad condition financially because I have paid my entire savings & borrowed some amount from friends & relatives for my wife's treatment & I was expected that I will get the amount from max bupa in maximum a month, but I was not aware that we need to follow up too much to get the amount from max Bupa.
      Sir, I have claimed 6, 33, 335/- but amount approved only 3, 93, 000/-, I have submitted all the document & bills properly but I don't know why you have deducted too much of amount. One letter sent to me on email that for which item amount deducted, but when I asked to the customer that why it is deducted then he is unable to reply, he is saying every thing mentioned in the letter, I read the entire letter some of the thing understood but one point I am asking that ( Stay charges paid as per the package rates ) what is this point, this point is still not clear & your customer care is also not aware for this point. In my policy there is no room capping nothing is there only Suite & above category is not allowed.
      Sir I am requesting you please clear my entire amount & do not deduct unnecessary amount I am retire person & I need money to spend my rest of life, I need my entire amount which I have paid to the hospital for treatment because I need to repay to all the friends & relatives. Again I am requesting you please resolve this issue & transfer the entire amount in my bank.

        श्री मान मैन बजाज आलियांज से मैक्स में पॉलिसी पोर्ट की है जो कि 18 जुलाई से चालू होगी मैक्स बूपा की सर्विस बहुत खराब है कस्टमर केयर भी सुपपोर्टिव नही है मैं फ्री लुक पीरियड में हु और मैं पॉलिसी कैंसिल करना चाहता हूं मैंने सम्पर्क भी किया लेकिन मुझे कोई जवाब नही दिया गया। यह टोटल फ्रॉड है। मैन फेसबुक यूट्यूब कई जगह कमेंट देखे हैं इनके सबकी यही समस्या है। कृपया मेरा पैसा रिफंड करवाएं। हमारे एरिया में इनका एक हो हॉस्पिटल है जहां पर गए हुए लोगों से पता चला कि ये लोग कैशलेस में भी रिजेक्ट कर देते हैं और क्लेम में 6 6 महीने घुमाते हैं ठीक से रिप्लाय भी नही करते

          As per your max bupa mail they have inlogically imposed an exclusion of hypertension disease in my policy.

          One of max bupa investigator visited my house in my absence when my son, who is working in an MNC and living in hyderabad from very long and has come to holidays for a few days . The investigator put irrelevant queries to my son and in good faith my son signed paper without reading anything.

          I am not having any disease related to hypertension and muscular cardiovascular. Please reinvestigate this case with a proper with immediate effect and release my claim as soon as possible.

          Kindly do needful.

            Due to Covid, my wife mrs. Nishu Gupta got admitted in hospital (The Medicity) in Panipat on 27th April 2021, as there were no availability of oxygen bed in any hospital of Delhi.

            Since this hospital is not in cashless empaneled hospital with MaxBupa, but since it was emergency i had no choice i had to admit my wife due to breathlessness and shortage of oxygen level. I intimate maxbupa about her hospitalisation by providing all necessary first hand details. My Wife discharged from hospital on 1st of May 2021, hospital send me documents after 2 weeks which i submitted to maxbupa through online portal. After few days i got email that few documents are missing or incomplete, i requested hospital and they provided it again.

            I again submitted all the necessary documents. Now maxbupa rejected my claim saying documents are incomplete. But in my best of knowledge all documents are completed from my side. Now neither the hospital is helping me nor maxbupa. During this pandemic i lost my mother, my wife in ICU for 5 days and paid what ever demanded by hospital, but when i need my medical policy to be use maxbupa is not helping me at all and they are just adopting some dirty ticks, so that they don't have to pay the claim. Attaching some documents for your reference.

            My Husband was hospitalized due to covid. There was no cashless facility available and we intimated hospital om the day of hospitalization. We have submitted all the documents as and when they requested. All the documents are valid. Just to aviod paying the claim amount max bupa is beating around the bush. After two months they have rejected our claim without even specifying the reason.

              Dear Sir,
              Just to remind you and to your agent Mr.Mukesh (Mobile Number : 98880
              86754), on explanation about MAX BUPA 100% cashless health policy by
              your said agent, we had decided to purchase it and you know we (complete
              family) is covered and paying since 13.10.2014. So far, we have
              approximately paid about Rs.2, 45, 000/- and claimed nothing by God Grace.
              Your agent, while arranging the first policy, conveyed to me that whenever we
              need any medical treatment with a minimum one day stay / admission in the
              hospital, we need not to pay even one paisa to the hospital as far as the billing
              amount is within the covered value. For the very first time in the last seven
              years, I decided to get the treatment of my left eye under MAX health cover
              and that too under the guidance of your agent after explaining him the
              problem / illness and beforehand after consulting by him with ASG Eye
              Hospitals, Plot No.9B, Malhar Cinema Road, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana - 141
              001. Before I moved for a check-up from my home on 27.06.2021, I again
              obtained an assurance from your agent on whether I need to carry cash with
              me or not. He affirmed that I shouldn't carry any cash and need not pay to the
              hospital.
              After preparation of my file and on primary check-up, the doctor advised me to
              get OCT and angiography for which they asked me to pay Rs.4600/-. I paid
              these charges against their bills number LDH/22/HO/2203
              and LDH/22/HO/2208 dated 27.06.2021 for Rs.2000/-, Rs.2600/-
              respectively. I called-up Mr.Mukesh to convey about these charges, he
              replied that on initial checking I will have to pay the same and he told me
              that he will get the said charges reimbursed after the treatment is over.
              Being a 100% cashless policy holder, such charges shouldn't have been paid
              by me but keeping in view the circumstances at that time I had no choice but
              to bear this cost from my own pocket. It was very surprising and embarrassing
              for me. At that time in the hospital, I was feeling myself somewhere cheated
              by your agent.
              As for the eye surgery / treatment, after having been discussed by your agent
              with the hospital’s staff, your agent suggested them to submit a request for
              Injection Accentrix which costs Rs.27000/- for approval to MAX Bupa. He
              (your agent) confirmed to get the approval from MAX Bupa within a few
              minutes. The same day (on 27.06.2021) in the evening, I got a call from the
              hospital telling me that my appointment for surgery / treatment has been fixed
              for 29.06.2021. I asked them about the approval, and they confirmed to get
              the approval soon. Next day on 28.06.2021, I received another call from the
              hospital telling me that MAX Bupa will pay only Rs.19, 000/- and for the
              balance payment, I will have to pay from my own pocket. I conveyed this
              scenario to your agent on 28.06.2021. He asked me to wait and let him check
              with the company (MAX Bupa). He didn't turn back to me till 29.06.2021
              morning. I dropped a message to him on whatsapp. He called me and asked
              me to pay the balance from my (patient's) pocket. He further added that the
              company pays only this much which means the company will not bear the
              100% cost.
              I argued with him and said that you cheated me by telling me that the policy is
              100% cashless and now you are telling me that the company makes partial
              settlements. I warned him to refer this matter to the insurance ombudsman,
              he replied to me and threatened me to do whatever I want to do and go
              wherever I want to go, He (your agent) said, "I don't bother".
              Just for your information, a compensation of Rs.2000/- per day in multiply till
              the treatment goes on, as per policy (as conveyed to me by your agent for
              MAX Bupa is getting money from me) is also admissible. Your agent has
              denied to settle as per 100% cashless policy then keeping in view the current
              situation what to say of the compensation and reimbursements. Who will
              believe??
              It's sheer cheating by your agent Mr.Mukesh (MOBILE NUMBER : 98880
              86754) and somewhere MAX Bupa is also responsible for it. Licences of
              such agents must be cancelled and they shouldn't be allowed to serve for any
              other health insurance companies. I had never expected this type of dealing
              from such a worldwide renowned health policy provider.
              I am stuck in a very embarrassing situation and it is putting a very bad effect
              on my health . You know well what’s the problem with me besides it’s pros
              and cons.

              My reply : From 2013 onwards, I have paid a sum of Rs.1, 94, 731.78 towards premium and taxes but on the part of services from MAX BUPA and your fraud agent - Mr.Mukesh Sharma, there is a BIG ZERO. Ethically, you should reimburse the said amount of Rs.1, 94, 731.78 with an interest of 24% per annum immediately.



              I have reviewed your reply given in the email below. However, I regret to inform you that you people are still in a state of arrogance. That’s the reason you people are not able to see the truth about MAX BUPA and your fraud agent, explained by me time and again.



              Looks like you people are having training from your fraud agent- Mr. Mukesh Sharma on how to fool and cheat your clients.



              Anyhow, I reiterate and submit herewith screenshots of my communications with your fraudulent agent- Mr. Mukesh Sharma who has always been committing 100% CASHLESS treatment by MAX BUPA.



              In the communications, tell me where he has denied 100% CASHLESS treatment. If MAX BUPA provides 100% CASHLESS treatment, as committed by you and by your fraud agent Mr.Mukesh Sharma then……

Today, you can ask him, he doesn't have any clients in Kangaro Industries. All of the clients having MAX Bupa Health Cover have not shifted to other health cover providers. I have already informed you that on every renewal, he was making the same verbal false and fraudulent commitments of 100% cashless treatment by MAX Bupa.

I have already informed you that on every renewal, he was making the same verbal false and fraudulent commitments of 100% cashless treatment by MAX Bupa.

You had told, whenever we need any medical treatment with a minimum one day stay/admission in the hospital, we need not to pay even one paisa till the covered value. For the very first time in last seven years I decided to get the treatment of my eye under MAX health cover and that too under your guidance and telling you about the problem/ illness and beforehand after consulting with ASG Eye Hospitals. It was surprising for me when I had to pay from my pocket for OCT and angiography a sum of Rs.4600/-. You promised me to reimburse this amount after the treatment against bills. On your promise I paid this amount. As for the eye surgery, after having discussed by you with the hospital’s staff you suggested to place pre-authentication request for a treatment worth Rs.27000/- More surprisingly, I was conveyed that MAX BUPA will only pay Rs.19000/- and the balance amount I will have to pay from my pocket.                 I was having a health insurance form Max BUPA during the year[protected].
                During this time period i was diagnosed with Cancer(Lymphoma).
                When I tried to renew the policy through Max BUPA website before the expiry the transaction was successful but after a month the amount got a refund back to my bank account hence the renewal was rejected by MaxBupa. Till now I am under the treatment and as I am a patient I was not able to get any other health insurance policies. I as I am a student I have incurred a huge expense for this treatment.
                I wish I could get it renewed.

                    Maxbupa has been informed many times to rectify the utter mistake done as incorrect medical status in policy by their representative but no corrective action has been taken. Following email has also been sent to Mr Shiv Kumar

                    Manager - Grievance Redressal Team, Maxbupa but neither any representative contact me nor resolve the issue by correcting medical policy documents

                    Dear sir/madam,

                    In reference to the trailing mail, it has been informed by you to wait upto 15th May for the mere mistake done at the part of Maxbupa towards incorrect medical status as pre-exist disease 'Respiratory system' which is not only wrong but baseless from the facts.

                    In this regard, kindly also refer my discussion with Maxbupa's doctor which is suppose to be recorded and it has also been made clear in medical report issued by Maxbupa that in 'October 2020, positive detected asymptomatic and remained in home isolation and thereafter found negative - fully recovered.

                    It is very surprising to see the policy documents issued by Maxbupa that pre-exist disease of respiratory system has been mentioned which is not acceptable as this is absolutely falsehood status.

                    Is it the assumption of Maxbupa under the provision of Health ministry as well as Home ministry that a person who tested positive will become the patient of respiratory disease? Such remarks mentioned by Maxbupa is extremely derogatory and having the discriminatory view leading to humiliate the person who defeated the corona whereas fact is that I am quite Fit and not having any respiratory or its related disease at all.

                    Rather than taking immediate steps to correct the wrong medical status instantly as mentioned in policy documents it has been advised to wait Upto 15th May. Please note that this is not the grievances but this is the incautiousness of Maxbupa representative while issuing of policy documents which should be handled instantly.

                    It is not out of place to mention here that such type of negligent at the part of Maxbupa will not be conducive to maintain reliability among customer.

                    An early reply with proper resolution is requested in the matter to proceed further as it is not a grievance which is supposed to be resolved in 15days period but it is the utter level of recklessness of the representative of Maxbupa while issuing of the policy documents which can create complications for the customer.

                    Kindly do needful under advice to me as I have raised this issue on 29.04.2021 but any action is still awaited to make necessary correction in the policy.

                      Dear Officer,
                      It is a surprise that The above claim has been rejected based on the reason which cannot be admissible by us.
                      Even there is no solid reason to deny the claim. Without seeking a report from hospital.

                      “As per Permanent Exclusion clause 6.15 Hospitalization not justified (as per received
                      documents vital and oxygen saturation is wnl and it can be manage in home isolation)
                      Admission solely for the purpose of evaluation, investigations, diagnosis or observation
                      services or not consistent with standard treatment guidelines (as defined by Clinical
                      Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act 2010 and amendments thereafter) or
                      Evidence Based Clinical Practices.”

                      My first point, how oxygen saturation can be managed at home, without observing the decline in oxygen level. Please note that RT PCR is Negative taken by hospital in emergency ward.
                      Let me Narrate the whole sequence
                      1. Chanchal got fever around 11.30 in morning of 23rd April and temperature was 98.6 F with mild cough
                      2. On doctor advise over phone taken paracetamol 650 mg and gargling suggested
                      3. Oxygen level measured by oxymeter it was 97
                      4. Again at 5.30 oxygen checked it was 98
                      5. At 7.30 again it has been checked after giving her juice of Pomagranate and result was 97
                      6. At 8Pm she complained about stomachache and fainted. Oxygen Was 96
                      7. At 8.03 by sprinkling water she got little senses and oxygen was 98
                      8. Immediately she fainted and Oxygen was 83
                      9. Then again by sprinkling water she got senses ant it shot up to 98
                      10. Again she fainted and oxygen was down to 64
                      11. We were sprinkling water and keeping her awake and she was breathing thru mouth.
                      12. We have visited 2 hospital for an emergency treatment, but they shown Inability to take her even to Emergency thinking it might be covid and they didn’t have covid beds available.
                      13. After at 9.38 AMRI taken her into emergency but warning if RT PCR will positive, we have to search for another hospital for bed. But if non covid they can provide the treatment in ward
                      14. At 11.40 RT PCR got negative, In the meanwhile AMRI emergency was supporting her to keep her level of xygen.
                      15. As per Doctor advise from Emergency immediately she was admitted to HDCU, as monitoring and oxygen was necessary.
                      16. At around 12.03 she got her admission paper ready and further tests were on . Finally she was in HDCU at around 2.00 am of 24th.
                      WITH ABOVE< HOW IT IS ARRIVED THAT SHE COULD HAVE CURED IN HOME ISOLATION.
                      SHE IS STILL IN HDCU
                      You are requested to Kindly Approve the same ASAP.

                        I have purchase max Bupa(Policy no[protected] and a term insurance from max having huge expectations of good services but disappointed with this incident

                        I am found covid positive on 23/3/2021 and admitted in Thunga hospital, malad Mumbai with fever, breathless .Treatment was given continuous 6 days and 4 days with oxygen and my condition was not good
                        but claim was denied by your company even after repeat request
                        Total bill was 105000 and 16000 other expenses
                        This policy was purchased through policy bazaar and they assured that this company have best settlement ratio at any situation
                        My three friends purchase same policy on my recommendation

                            Hi Team,

                            I was hospitalized on 28th Sep 2020 till 30 Sep 2020. As that was a peak time of COVID-19, I have joined in the hospital where we don't have much facilities such as corporate hospitals.
                            I have raised a Reimbursement Claim number: [protected] in the month of November.

                            From the month of November 2020 to till February 2021 max Bupa was simply dragged my claim application by asking "Hospital Final Bill". Even after submitting the the Final bill also, they were asking the same again and again.
                            I was called to the customer care center so many times by paying minute to minute, none of the executive have full information, even then I have requested them to arrange a call back with the claim department to explain my problem and understand their requirement, but out of these many months of time not even a single call received from them on this issue. I understood that they are not willing to resolve the issue and reimburse the claim.
                            As i already pointed, it is a remote hospital, where diagnostic centers and medical shops are not in the same premises and all are individuals bodies. I have taken the bills from each of them and surrendered to the Max Bupa team, still there is no response.

                            I have raised so many complaints with the customer care, but no one is considering and not even calling to the customer and seeking for the details to resolve the issue. No way. Except during the policy time never ever received a call from them.

                            Here one surprising point, My policy is Group Policy which means via HDFC they have provided this policy, after i raise this request only got to that, there is a differential treatment among the direct policy holder and group policy holder.

                            Being a group policy holder, i can not access any mobile app applications or cannot raise any claims. Anything we need to do it on our own. I don't know these complications and all while taking the policy.

                            With the health policy I used HDFC, India Insurance etc.. with these I did not faced any issues. They and their response is quite good, they will give the detailed explanation for rejecting our claim. If it is valid we also ready to accept.
                            Where as here with Max Bupa, got a single line statement as below

                            "We regret to inform you that claim ID [protected] of NALLAPUDI KUMAR has been denied for settlement based on the terms and conditions of your policy with us. We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this. Please find attached a summary of the claim details for your reference."

                            Here my doubt is on what basis, which condition/term based you declined, not information.

                            Very Worst experience I have with Max Bupa.

                              I feel like i have been cheated by MAX Bupa Insurance by every time rejecting my claim.

                              on Dec 2020 My father was hospitalized for severe kidney pain, so I rushed to the Emergency service & I paid the full amount thinking I will claim but unfortunately, later the claim was rejected saying Kidney doesn't cover in your policy.

                              on 25/02/21 My Mother was admitted to Hospital for 1 day & same the claim was again rejected by saying she is Diabetic & then my claim was rejected. AS she is NOT a Diabetic Patient

                              I would like to cancel both the Policy & request for my refund of 1.2 Lack.

                              And also I would Like to request to ALL DO NOT BUY THE MAX BHUPA Insurance as they are cheaters.

                                Despite several escalations and reminders to Max Bupa including proactively calling their customer support and calling the agent and letting them know, keep getting Mac bupa calls persistently every other day despite letting them know that I had migrated to a different insurer two months back itself . Till now, I have received approx 100calks even after urging them to put me in DND list and repeatedly and patiently letting them know over and over.

                                  Greetings of the day,

                                  I am Suresh, Health Insurance policy holder at Maxbupa with policy No [protected]

                                  I taken Family health Insurance policy in 29 th June, 20 . I requested them to cancel this policy for missing of onother member of my family in August, 20. I requested them to cancel and refund my complete payment .
                                  From August 20 to January, 21 several remainders and Emails they cancelled my policy and refunded 50 % of my payment . Please check and do the needful .
                                  They refunded 50 % my payment in January 21, Please instruct them to refund complete payment and pay extra payment to refunding too late as a allowances . If we are paying late they will charge more amount .
                                  I look forward to your reply and resolution to my problem .

                                    hi my name is g sathish, recently my father(gopina raju) had met with road accident in december month and got admitted in hospital for multiple facial surgerieous.my father has taken policy through vijaya bank manager (gopalapuram) when i called manager and said about the issue, he said that he was effected with covid so please take the treatment and later we can claim reimbursement of the policy. so i admitted my father in rajhamundry hospital and got treatment and latter when i claimed the reimbursment from the maxbhupa they said policy is being procesing .and after 2 months now they are saying that my father was suffering from sugar and bp ...so they wont allow reimbursement .
                                    one thing that i want to know was that treatment given to my father was related to surgery to face and teeth and bones how these are related to sugar or bp or so on...when i asked the bank manager about these then max bhupa company had aslo teriminated the policy of my father tooo was these lawfull please help me in these isssuee

                                      I am jitender singh having issue. on 19 jan 2021 I admit my wife in max hospital mohali by when hospital staff sending mail for claim they denied due high blood pressure but as per doctor diagnosis its TIA so when doctor send the details still they are not settled the claim.                                         Its been around 6 month and i have not got any information about my insurance policy claim .once my claim was rejected with no appropriate reason . i gave complaint and 2nd time they said it is in process and u will get to know on 5th of december. i am very dissapointed .they said the claim will be reimbursed within 1 or 2 months but now its more then 6 months. these insurance companies are fraud just making money. till now i have not got any notice regarding my claim from max bupa about rejection or anything. i had issued this policy on[protected] and the validity of policy is 1 year which is going to end within few days. i request please go through this policy .their help line numbers never attain any call. reason is irrelevent i have all the proof against this rejection. i just want my claim money to be imbursed to me as soon as possible. i am sending both copies of sonography report of before taking policy and after taking policy so that you all get clear and relevent reason.
