Max Healthcare — Non Responsive Hospital and Doctors at Max

Address:Gurgaon, Haryana

I had written this letter two week back to chairman max hospitals at [protected]@maxindia.com... stiil no reply from anyone. To The Chairman Max Healthcare This is to bring to your notice the pathetic state of services at your hospital, apathy of doctors and administrative staff. My Mother (84) who was getting treatment for RCC in Apollo Speciality Chennai, shifted to Gurgaon in June. I consulted Dr Amit Vora, Oncologist at Max Gurgaon in Early September who asked us to take a CT Scan. CT Scan got delayed due to her creatinine being high . After treatment at your hospital she undertook scan on 17th September. Meanwhile from 16th night she was under a lot of pain in abdomen and left side, I sent several messages to the doctor Vora with no reply. I sent emails to him which kept bouncing back. The hospital confirmed that the mail ID on which I have sent the mail is the one on their record. When I sent this message to Dr Vora, he SMS’ed me stating that he is on leave and is in Mumbai and sent another mail ID to send the message. I sent Email twice on this mail ID but even after 3 days there is no reply. A doctor especially in Critical care functions like cancer treatment cannot avoid patients in distress like this for days. On 17th Post scan I sought an appointment with Dr Vora but was told by the hospital that Dr Vora will be available only on Tuesday and was asked to meet Dr Amit Verma instead on 18th at 11 am. On reaching the hospital at appointed hour with my mother, Nurse at Oncology was surprised at the appointment and commented that this doctor seldom comes to the hospital. She put me on phone to the doctor. Dr Verma was good enough to listen but stated that he is unable to see the patient as this was not his line of specialization. While I appreciate Dr Verma’s response, Why did the hospital gave me an appointment with Dr Verma if this is not his line despite me stating clearly that My Mother is Dr Amish Vora’s patient. When I went to lodge a protest with the Hospital administration, they made an 84 year old cancer patient for 45 minutes stating that the Hospital superintendent will come and meet us but he did not before we walked out of the hospital. This is the state of pathetic services your Hospital has to offer.
