[Resolved]  Max Life Insurance — Policy no.[protected] dated 22nd november, 2012

This is with reference to the above mentioned policy, which i had surrendered on 15th nov., 2016 at chembur branch. Please note before surrendering my policy, i had enquired with the executive at chembur branch about the surrender value, so he said that i will get an amount of rs. 41000/- and i also enquired with the executive whether my premium which was due on 16th november, 2016 will be deducted or not, so he said that it will not be deducted after i surrender my policy on 15th nov., 2016. But unfortunately the premium amount of rs. 30, 524/- was deducted from my account on 16th november, 2016 inspite of surrendering the policy. Then when i called up chembur branch to inform about the deduction of my premium on 16.11.16, they said that i will get the deducted premium amount alongwith my surrender value within 7 days. But to my surprise, i got only my surrender value of rs. 40, 000/- on 20th nov., 2016. Then again i called up the executive at chembur branch, they said they will raise the request on my behalf. But unfortunately, i have not yet received the deducted premium amount of rs. 30000/- in my account. I have visited chembur branch several times, but unfortunately, my problem is not yet solved.

Kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.

I tried calling you several times but no one is picking up the phone and also sent a mail on 25th Jan. 2017 to update on the status of my refund, but I have not received any reply. Is this the respond you give to the customers. If you do not reply to me by today evening, I will lodge a complaint against you in Consumer Court.

Dear Team,

I would like to bring to your notice that when I applied for the Insurance in the year 2012, your agent said that I will get 90% of total amount paid after 3 years if I am surrendering the policy, but you have paid only Rs. 40, 000/- as part of my surrender value. On top of that even after surrendering my policy in the year 2016, you had deducted my premium for the year 2016 which I have still not received as on date. Please note the total amount to be paid by you should be Rs. 96, 000/- (surrender value) and Rs. 30562/- (premium amount debited from my account in the year 2016). So the total amount paid by you should be Rs. 126562/-. If the amount is not credited into my account within a day, I will lodge a complaint against your company. It is almost 2 months my case is still pending. It is really a shame on your company that you cannot solve a problem even after two months.

Dear Team,

Please note I have received Rs. 29, 904/- on 31.1.17 as part of the premium amount deducted from my account on 16.11.16 even after surrendering my policy on 15.11.16. Please note the premium amount deducted on 16.11.16 was Rs. 30, 562/- and not Rs. 29, 904/-. As already mentioned to you, I had received Rs. 40, 000/- as surrender value on 21.11.16, whereas it should be Rs. 96, 000/- . Hence after working out, the balance amount to be paid by you should be Rs. 56658/-. Kindly arrange to credit the amount as soon as possible.
