[Resolved]  Mescom — constant interruptions in electric supply

I am writing this complaint on behalf of my aged parents who live in vas lane, mangaluru. Over the years, electric supply to our house has been constantly interrupted due to falling branches, leaves and coconuts from our neighbour's compound. The sudden severance has resulted in damaging the washing machine, ac stabiliser, mixie, tv and other electrical appliances. My dad is aged 81 and they are continuously harassed by having to register complaints and follow up and to buy new appliances. Requests have been made to the neighbors but to no avail.in other states, like in goa, where i live, the electricity department does a pre monsoon check and cuts down all suspect branches and orders the residents to cut trees that are likely to impact the electrical wires. I fail to understand why such action is not taken in mangaluru too. A perusal of your complaint registers for the area will bear out the truth of our complaint.
It is requested that action be initiated to put an end to this menace and the harassment to senior citizens at the earliest.
