Microsoft has been lying in its advertisements about the capability of its software. It has never informed the consumers that its software is virus prone, and to make the Microsoft software work properly, consumers have to buy many other softwares like anti-virus, firewall, anti-spyware etc.
Microsoft has also never informed the consumers that there are massive known security problems with its software.
And Microsoft has never informed its consumers that it has been sued and found guilty by DOJ US, European Commission, various governments in Europe and Americas on numerous occasions for monopolistic practices, arm twisting, bribing, intimidation, patent infringement etc. That it tried to bribe various companies to vote its Microsoft office format as a standard against the OpenOffice.org 's format.
