My wife went to mangaldeep enterprises 53 b p dey street, sereampore distt hooghly west bengal and purchased some snacks vide bill no 437 dated 29/06/2019. The items purchased were packed in a plastic carry bag. She was surprised to see that bill includes rs 2/- for plastic carry bag and rs 1/- for tomato ketchup.
It is the responsibility of the trader to provide free carry bag etc for carrying the purchased items from any shop. Recently in a case, consumer court has ruled against the charging for carry bags. So the practice for charging for carry bag should be stopped. Was this information helpful? |
