I mistakenly booked a ticket at 6am instead of 6pm..from nagercoil to chennai at MRM travels obviously no one would like to travel at day time, I tried to cancel it and book another one at my preferred time. but there is no cancellation policy. wat ? isn't it.? The ticket costs around rs 900/- . I don't want to lose the ticket fare and made up my mind to travel at 6am since its 12 hours earlier than my travel time. I reached the boarding spot half an hour before the starting tym of 6am. at around 6am a guy who is responsible for the passengers, called me to make sure that I was at the boarding end. so far good. I wasn't sure I got into the correct bus cuz I booked a non AC ticket with semi sleeper. but this bus had a so called AC with worst seat conditions. The bus departed at 6:30 am. 30 minutes late. I was told to close the windows for proper utilising the so called AC . After reaching tirunelveli the front tyre of the bus got punctured. it took almost 1 hour to replace it with Stepney.Then the journey resumed till madurai then a 2 hour break for filling empty seats ! we were told to take lunch at 12pm saying tat there won't be any more stopping.. I kept my backpack in the luggage area which is above the seats and I left for lunch .wen I came back to my seat, I found a lady with 2 kids occupying my seats. wtf? I questioned the driver, but he behaved like super cool msd and allotted another seat for me. anger through my mind but I didn't showed it in face. 2 films were shown on TV but the sound quality is very poor tat no audio can be heard wen the bus speeds up.so far so good.The bus wud stop for 10 minutes in every toll gate for urinating activities. Speaking of air conditioner, not so cool. I literally got sweatings out of my T shirt while sleeping.It took almost 15+ hrs to reach tambaram.Tat was one hell of the worst journey I've ever experienced..SETC is far better than MRM..

at 7.40 PM, scheduled to reach Chennai at 6 AM the following morning promising it would go via Kathipara junction . . The bus was in its worst condition for the cost we paid and the solo driver was all in all, so lethargic and drove like an ant and he said there is some brake problem also, not keeping in mind that he should be on time and we had the worst bus experience.
Very coolly he forcefully made us get down the bus at Perungalathur at 7.30 against the scheduled time 6 at Chennai only to end up with a bad quarrel with the driver not in the least bothered over the delay.
From Perungalathur we reached our home so late that we were not able to be on time to Office.
The fare Rs 1200 is almost 3 times more than the train cost not in least worth for a worst bus service.
The authorities should keep in mind to provide good service to customers when they charge a Spencer rate.
The Govt also should take steps to curb the prices of private bus tickets to some thing reasonable keeping good service to customers in their mind.
Never Travel in MRM Travels !
