Mumbai Traffic Police — scooter ride broke my bike mudguard at bandra east on dec 12, but refused to pay damages
I want to report about the sad state of driving in mumbai. I am a thane resident who travels with my husband on a bike to work in bandra east (Near kalanagar). This morning (Dec 12) around 7.35 am, a scooter riding vehicle number mh02 en 5319 suddenly swerved into the opposite lane without giving any indicator whatsoever. Our bike, which was right behind him, rammed into the scooter and in the impact, our pulsar's mudguard broke completely. When we confronted the scooter rider, he calmly parked his scooter outside hallmark building, near gurunanak hospital, and told us it was our fault as we "couldn't control our own bike"! This is ludicrous! He refused to pay damages and bullied his way out of paying anything. If mumbai traffic police or mumbai police personnel check into cctv footage from hallmark building, they can verify my claim. Please find attached picture of the errant scooter. I have also tweeted my complaint on mumbai police's twitter handle (https://twitter.com/MumbaiPolice). We demand payment for repairing our bike's mudguard. Was this information helpful?
