Mumbai Traffic Police — taxis blocking entrance | |||
There is a severe problem of taxis parked right in front of the entrance gate of afghan church colaba, preventing worshipers, visitors and tourists from entering the premises. This church is a grade 1 heritage structure and a popular historic tourist attraction, however tourist vehicles are unable to enter the church compound or even park anywhere near the church due to the many taxis parked haphazardly in front of the gate. Even when requested to move they do not oblige. In the evenings and night, these taxi drivers sit around in their taxis drinking alcohol and beer and throw the empty bottles over the wall into the church compound. We humbly request the traffic police to remove this unauthorised taxi stand from in front of the church and set up a no parking zone around the front gate. Thanking you Rev. B. S.
