I have been trying to book a slot for birth certificate correction by following the phone number and instructions provided by the Municipal Corporation of Kolkata.

The instructions were sent via WhatsApp, and I’ve been attempting to book between 10 AM and 10 PM IST every day for the past week. However, the portal consistently shows: “No slot available, please try again later.”
Interestingly, when a nearby cyber café close to the Municipal Corporation tries to book using the same instructions, they are able to book easily and charge ₹150 for the service.
I’m concerned about why it's not working for individuals trying on their own, while others with limited digital literacy at the cyber café can book successfully. Even the security personnel at the Municipal Corporation advised me to visit the cyber café across the road to get it done.
I request the Corporation to investigate why this issue is occurring and how booking seems restricted unless done through certain cyber cafés. Was this information helpful? |
