I reached the Anewadi toll Plaza booth on National Highway (NH4) near Satara, Maharashtra on 18-April-2021 at 7:17pm. Our toll tax for the new Tata Nexon Car has been deducted from Kotak FastTag account No. [protected] but the sensor to remove the barrier did not work so a person from the window booth came out to operate it manually. Before we could cross the barrier, he dropped the iron barrier over the car and the right-side door of our vehicle was damaged.
I called Toll Plaza office bearers and filed the complaint in the office complaint book. We also cross checked the incident in the CC TV which proved the mistake of that booth person.
Toll Supervisor asked to get the quotation from Tata Motors. We talked to a Tata motors executive on the mobile loudspeaker and provided photos of the damaged car then he provided us with a quotation of Rs. 5000. I tried to reach Toll Manager Raghuvir Singh (Mobile-[protected]) over the phone, but he did not receive calls. Supervisor said they will get back to me in 2 days.
After one week of multiple follow-ups, Manager Raghuvir said Toll authority is not responsible for this and he asked me to contact Labour Incharge Jitendra Shingate(Mobile-[protected]). When I talked to Jitendra Shingate, He said he is also not responsible for this and he asked me to contact booth worker Prasad Bhosale(Mobile-[protected]) who dropped the barrier on my car.
Prasad said he is very poor and also, he did not get his salary paid for the last couple of months. He was ready to pay a partial amount of Rs. 2000 which I did not agree for.
How come Toll authority denies taking responsibility and blames their workers and asks customers to handle this personally with booth workers. These people aren't even guilty about their mistakes and not giving proper reasons for their mistakes.
I don't think innocent people like us who are paying proper toll should suffer like this.
Please look into the matter and arrange for the losses.
