Toll Gate ref.: Between Salem & Omalur in NH 7. Night drive in their jurisdiction is very dangerous, as there is no proper median (plants...), no sign boards, no reflectors, improper white line markings. I've taken this compliant many a times to the authorities at the toll gate, but of no remedy. This has to be taken seriously and sorted out to avoid further accidents at night. Recently there was accident in which 16 persons were killed in a night accident involving 2 buses in this road.

    Hello,

This is in regards to the Toll collection on the NH4 highway between Pune & Kolhapur (MAH). As understood from the display boards at Toll plaza of Khandala (Satara), Tasvade & Kini on the stretch of NH4 between Pune & Kolhapur, the end date for toll collection was 9th July' 2011. However, as of date, 24th Aug' 2011, the contractors are illegally collecting the toll even after the end date has been well crossed. Most of the places, the end date on the display boards at Khandala Toll plaza has been hidden with Tapes while the boards have been removed at Taswade Toll booth. At Kini Toll plaza, the toll booths have been covered with tarpauline covers to hide the details from regular road users.

Also, the toll rate has been hiked without previous notice.

Could you please take this up seriously since for regular commuters, the toll amount becomes substancially high while travelling from Pune to Bangalore. & vice versa.

You can contact me on [protected] or [protected]@ymail.com

hoping for earliest action on this request.

    Regards,

There are lot of open entries on Express Highway from Ambala to Chandigarh for stray animals. We had a narrow escape when a bull, chasing a cow came in front of my car running, near Dappar from opposite side of road at around 9:30 pm.Though I had very little to react, had to apply sudden brakes in a bid of save ourselves. We could save our lives but lot of damage happened to car.Bull was also safe with very injuries.
Govt.is making Express highways to enable to run vehicle at 90 KMPH but how they can be so ignorant about people's safety.
There must be done something immediately to avoid such accidents

      NHAI — No Safety

There is a sudden settlement on ROB near Makhel ( NH-15), which is not clearly visible and not safety has been provided, not only this on NH-15 so many structure are having the same problem. We can't say that this is due to heavy rain because settlements are at start of approach slab.
as national highway rules no railway track on road so why are three-three railway track on national highway no 6 by builed ESSAR STEEl. and also they build a very hot iren sub way in under the road on nation highway no 6.
      what are doing NHAI?

        Hi Team,

This is to bring your attention towards the terrible road conditions between Delhi and Meerut which is also known as NH58. The road was repaired sometime back but after one or two rains big big potholes have came back. Enough to lead accidents and also damage to cars. This is a very busy highway and hence should be taken care of on priority.

Primary point of concern is stretch between Modinagar and Meerut.

National Highway Authority of India — Indiscipline on NH 57

There is no police patroling on the highway, there is gross indiscipline in motorists and pedestrians alike with bus and auto drivers bikers driving on wrong side of highway, animals roaming about people knowing nothing about highway safety leading to accidents and loss of lives. There is nobody to enforce discipline.

The National Highways No.48(mainly shiraadi ghat, near uppinangady), No.17(udupi-kundapur and kundapur-bhatkal), and No.206 (stretch between beerur and tarikere near railway crossings is worst) are in a pathetic conditions. The authorities are not controlling heavy vehicle movement nor patching up the roads as and when there are patholes created. The regular users are in miserable situation having (1) damaged the bumpers of the cars (2) back and body ache by the passengers of busses (3) regular accidents which are caused by the drivers trying to avoid the large holes in the road.

If the "National Highway" of India is in this condition then what is the need to show TV ads to save our countries pride in front of Foreigners.

We, the commuters need a pathole free road ASAP.

In 2009, a subway was opened near Sulur Air Force base, which was made with the combined fund of Air Force and National Highways Authority of India on NH 67.This NH is one of the most fastest and busiest highway in Tamilnadu. The Subway is actually meant for the school children and air force personal; but civilians are not at all allowed due to security reason, though the money is from common men's pocket as tax. But recently the Sulur Air Force authority illegally prevented the school children to use this subway by which they pushed the kids to really a dangerous situation by crossing this highway to reach their school. Aren't they value the life of the future assets? As a responsible citizen of India, I just caution you the foreseeing catastrophe and request you to take an appropriate step.

                  Address: Gurgaon, Haryana

Peak office hour traffic very poorly managed in Delhi Gurgaon Expressway NH 8 by DS Contruction leading to huge traffic jams and accidents at several places, like U-trurn below Shiv Murty flyover, both before and after toll gate at KM24 and ambience mall exit slipway.

Intentionally U-turn for entry to ambience mall through exit 5 near KM 24 toll gate left open for traffic coming from Gurgaon side during peak office hours leading to huge traffic pile up both upsteam and downstream of KM24 toll gate.

Toll gates meant for tag users only are allowed for use by cash payers which leads to slow traffic movement. No fines are evre charged by DS Construction to such cash payers and also preventive measures (manual checks) are minimal and ineffective.

Recent restriction of dedicated lane use for common wealth games 2010 made traffic chaos even more severe. Public announcements by trffic authorities indicate that CWG dedicated lanes are applicable to roads from IGI airport to CWG village and venues. Why other stretches of NH 8 such as IFFCO Chowk or Ambience mall exits are being blocked for CWG are not clear. Hotel owners at Ambience Mall, in an around IFFCO Chowk might have vested interested in this.

                    Address: Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

This is to bring to your notice the pathetic and heavily pot-holed roads on national highway between Vapi and Mumbai. I had recently driven from Delhi to Mumbai and this was the worst stretch of road (or the lack of a motorable road) that I drove on.

Also, the condition of the toll booths and the approach roads are the worst on the route. Even with the monsoons, the road condition is inexplicable. The dividers had not even a single reflector on the route and on most of the Mumbai-Vapi stretch had no white markings for lanes or dividers. Why is there toll being collected when there is no road to drive on? It is shocking to say the least.

There were no directions or easily visible milestones. I have to say that as soon as I left Gujarat behind and entered Maharashtra, I could see how inefficient and despicable the administration in this state is. Mumbai being the capital is the same, with the same road conditions and traffic.

But I assume the highways are NHAI's responsibility, irrespective of the state they are in. Rajasthan and Gujarat had international standard roads but Maharashtra was the worst of the lot.

I appeal with anticipation of something done about this immediately. The Golden Quadrilateral is no longer golden because of such stretched of road.

National Highway Authority — Road condition bad

Last week I travel by car from AGRA-DELHI-AGRA. I was surprised to see the road condition. It is very-very bad and need immediate action on that.
I asked the complaint book at Shrinagar toll booth (Near Palwal) and I was surprised that they refused to provide the book and said that complaint will be logged centrally at Dwarika office.
In very near future we have common wealth Games and lot of international visitor will use the same road and what type of picture about road conditions, we will provide them.
We are paying toll tax regularly and the authority should also provide at least good road. The beautification and greenery of road is secondary basic requirement is road should be proper.
I hope the National Highway Authority will take action and it is my requests please update me also about the action.

The condition of NH28a is so pathetic that it will be better to say that their does not exist such a highway. It adjoins INDIA & NEPAL.
The road is full of huge holes & its in pathetic condition.
It takes more than 10 hrs to travel around 200 kms from Patna to Raxaul, which lies just before Nepal.
Being such an important highway it needs a immediate repair n maintenance..

I really don't understand how the road landed up in such a state without any repairs whatsoever. As it stands it is an open pot inviting accidents. Actually there is no road to talk about and it is just a collection of pot holes up to 1 ft deep! I had to literally find the smallest pothole...

                        Status of M.T.H. Road(NH 205), Chennai

I am a resident of Ambattur and would like to complain against the status of MTH Road(NH 205). The road is in a very bad shape, especially from Padi to Avadi. The traffic has increased so much, but the road still remains as it was 30 years earlier. The road has numerous potholes and craters, making motoring, a difficult proposition. It is a nightmare to drive during rain and during hours of darkness. Nobody cares for the road. There are talks...

                        toll booth on nh-2 agra-firozabad (U.P.)

the toll booth situated between Firozabad and Tundla seems to be unreasonable as the other toll booths on this nh-2 at Farah( Near Mathura) and at Kathphori (Near Etawah) has very short distance.the distance from Farah to Tundla is about 50 Km.and the same distance is from Kathphori to Tundla. The creataion of Toll Booth at 50 Km. is unreasonble.Ihave heared that the minimum distance between two booth must be at lease 80 Km.is it right?br...

                        dear sir,
i am frequent commuter between delhi to jaipur via car. every time when i was suppose to pay 111 rs for one side toll charges and the break up was 21, 55, 35.
But by the decession of our Govt. of india from 1st April 2009 they have increased the toll charges like anything. now onwards we have to pay 23, 79, 38 rs for the same trip.
their is no improvement in road infrastrcture and facility. still its a four line crab with lots of patholes.

please give us the clarifcation of this unreasonable act.
Under which ACT the NHAI is collecting Toll Tax at NH - 8. Whether Govt. of Haryana has issued any notification levying the Toll Tax at this Highway. Maintenance of this Highway is very poor. At many place like Manesar, Billaspur there is traffic jam always but NHAI has not taken any measure for smooth flow of traffic at these points.

                          irresponsibility about the spellings

                          Hi,
I wish to lodge a complaint regarding the NHAI people working in India (New Delhi).
I want to say that people in New Delhi working with NHAI don't even know the spellings of India Gate.
You can check the location board on the left side of the bridge just before the Apollo hospital on the way towards Apollo hospital from Badarpur border.

The spelling of India gate is mentioned on the board as...
