National Highways Authority of India [NHAI] Complaints & Reviews

There is unnecessary delay at toll plaza on pune - nashik highway at Hiwargaon - pavasa toll plaza. Waiting time is 15 -20 minutes. The fast tag scanner is manual and every vechicle taking 3-5 minutes. Please refund our toll charges and take strict action on cocern toll plaza management.

On 12/03/22 at NH 3 now NH 44 at Jajau old baretha toll plaza one side Rs 80.00 return journey toll 120.00Rs is applicable.
But amt deducted one side 80.00 Rs and return journey toll fees deducted 80.00Rs on same day . Balance amt on my fast Card was 695.00Rs .

We have faced this problem several times on estern peripheral dasna.
The man labour working there isn't able to scan fastag. They ask for cash every time.
If we deny to give cash. They use fault language.
Please see to this problem as soon as possible.

In jharkhand a toll whose fastag facility was not working and as per rules my car should not be charge but the toll man was saying that your fastag is only not working and he sad the give me cash 40 rs which the same as fastag charge and when I ask him to give me recipt he was saying that no receipt of cash transactions this toll located in jharrkand 200 km near deogarh.
This all illegal things i face several times but I never complaint to nhai because i know nhai will never able to solve it because nhai only have have rulls and regulations on paper but not on ground level...
India is lacking very much behind in road services and i think how nhai of india is working on problems it will never get better such a slow and worst services of india and if you ask to nhai in terms of rating i will give 5 out 0 stars to india road services 😠😡😠😠😡😠😡 and only they need money but no development.

I went through NH 72 by my vehicle no. UK07AV1949, from dehradun-Rishikesh-Dehradun today I.e 19.03.2022. At Lachhiwala toll, Rs. 85 was deducted through fast tag. while coming back through same toll, rs. 45 was to be deducted through fast tag. As, fast tag balance was low, Double amount of rs. 90 would have been taken in cash. However, I was charged rs. 170and the staff behaved very roughly.
It is reqested to kindly refund me the extra deducted amount of rs. 80. May kindly take proper action. Regards.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

We and our family were travelling from Madurai to Tirunelveli on our own car on[protected]. We crossed four toll plaza with exemption free since we provided defence id proof. We had a smooth travel and we had no problem. On the final toll plaza Salaipudur we had a worst experience our identity was not recognised and amount was deducted in our fast tag though defence id is shown . We had a worst experience and there was harsh reply from the employee pandiyarajan and Selvam. We need this complaint to be addressed and this should not happened for any other Defence person.Please take further action on it and our money should be refunded

I, a resident of Panjipara paschimbasti, Uttar Dinajpur would like to inform you that in Panjipara station Chowk there is a crossing and because growing plants at the divider area it becomes impossible for the rider/driver to view the sides of the roads hence this crossing becomes accident prone.

So I request you kindly take action so that people can cross the road safely.

I pass regularly from Kolkata Nibedita bridge toll plaza(Dakshineswar). Some Hijras beg there and they stand very dangerously everytime obstructing the vehicles. Please take some step else there can be some accident any day

The reason of taking toll road is to save time and better road.
Between mumbai to khalapur alternate roads are available but we choose toll road of mumbai pune express way to save time.
On express it takes less then 30 minutes to reach khalapur ttoll from start point On 18 march 22 it took me 1.30 hours for the same distance it would have better to take no toll road to reach faster. The purpose of toll road do not serve.
I therefore request as under
1) refund the toll paid
2) put a board before start point of toll road that work going delay in traffic so motorists can take alternate route.
3) suspend toll collection till work is going.

Give me single paas journey slip according to Nitin katgari sir toll plaza give slip for 12 hours we can up and down with one single slip but. He give single journey pass and wrote on slip is single pass. Please take strict action against this he makeing the fool to customer. And earning black money. He is cheat to public.

Pithai toll tax at ahmedabad indore highway near kathlal town, I visit 10 days in month and see the washroom close all time and since last five year, general public suffer from it we told many times but the othority not open washroom and not taken seriously our complain so I complain here and I hope govt solve this complain very soon thank u

I take Sirsa toll and exit through Maujpur to go to NTPC faridabad. Past records can be checked. But hv been charged 190 as per msg recd

Besides many times the toll is not taking up entry/ exit at Sirsa toll. Needs correction.

It is a newly opened toll gate. Past three months its under operation. I am living 13kM away from toll gate. As per govt policy up to 20kM from tollgate it will be considered as local and they can avail local pass. But the varadharajpuram toll gate neither issuing pass nor considering as local.

Employees of this toll gate claiming 2Kms only considered as local and daily there is issue happening in this toll gate. No authorities...

The new road which laid from hosur is uneven, the new road is not laid for the full width of the road and also road laid without removing the old road which in turn becomes like a 5 inch speed breaker partitioning at the center of the road throughout the length.

I live in Ahmedbabd highway and work in Sanand, and I use the national highway between both cities daily. On the highway we have multiple huge Bumps on the road, which local thugs has put in place. They have the audacity to put one right in front of a police station and nobody does anything about it.

So many from plant has made complaints over phone and in person but nobody listens to us. Some say they are working on in since almost 2 years and others say they would not do anything about it .

These are really big in size and i personally have fallen due to it when driving at night over my bike. I even see many cars, trucks, ambulances get stuck and still the NHAI does not do anything about it and put the blame on some other department.

I live in sanand and here on the highway we have multiple speed breakers on the national highway passing thorugh the city Sanand road.

They are Harmful, non regulated, illegal. I have made so many complaints as it stops so many ambulances in a day. Today it took almost 1 hour just to pass that area with those speed breakers.

This on main road on National Highway 947, opposite to sanand Police chowki.

THere are multiple speed breakers on the national highway passing thorugh the city Sanand road. These are highly dangerours, non regulated, illegal in nature and it hinderers every emergency to a huge extent specially during day time, It takes almost 40 mins just to pass that 1.5 -2 Kms of road patch.

The road is NH947, next to sanand Police chowki.

Its been more than 20 mins with more than a 200 metre long line we are stuck at Sikandra toll of Agra Jaipur highway, and the toll people are not allowing to pass cars for free

This is really disturbing to state that the money is not being deducted as per the NHAI norms from the Fast tag.
Money is being deducted more than the applicable fees from the NHAI Toll Plazas.
I don't know this is an intentional fraud or a mistake. In either case, this is really bad and frustrating.
