National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — Double toll fees charged at Mulund East toll plaza

Today 11th June 2022 while passing towards Thane from Mulund(East) toll plaza our vehicle was stopped at toll plaza. We were told that your balance is insufficient and were asked to pay in cash. The balance in fastag was Rs. 189 and toll fees is Rs. 40. Upon telling them they said you need to keep balance of Rs. 240 for this toll and were forced to pay in cash with assurances that toll fees will not be debited from fastag. We paid in cash and begin journey. After some time we received message for deductions of toll fees of Rs 40. So we are charged double in illegal manner. The behavior of toll is not proper and this is cheating with common people.
