National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — Irresponsible response from toll management

Fasttag was with low balance and was asked to recharge. I recharged and took a break for the system to be Activated with balance.

After 30 mins, I see I have a balance of 960 and there was a problem with scanning and deducting. I was asked to visit the fast tag concerned guy at toll plaza.

He took 30 more minutes to verify the details and finally he can not do anything because he does not deal with IDFC Bank. He asked me to change the Fasttag to other one or told me to go to place where I purchased fast tag which is altogether 500 kms from this toll plaza.

Is this the solution NHAI has in place? And NHAI does not maintain any support mechanism to deal with Fast Tag issues at toll plazas irrespective of the Bank??
