On 4 July 2022, I was passing through the toll palaza Rohad KM 52+460 and my fast tag balance got less than whatwas required to pass me through the toll palaza. The officials told me the same and took my ID and told me to set aside my vehicle. After setting aside my vehicle, I politely requested them to let me recharge my fast tag and then they can proceed with the process but they rudely denied that and told me that I have to pay cash only. I asked for QR code or any digital payment method since I was not carrying cash with me, they behaved inappropriately with me and told me that I have to pay cash only else I won't get my ID back and I won't be able to go from here and they did not see my for 30 mins and I was figuring out a way in heavy rains to arrange for cash only. After 30 mins or so, with the help of a fellow passenger, I was able to arrange cash and give it to them and then they only gave me my ID back then with inappropriate behaviour and rude attitude. If government is promoting digital payments then why NHAI does not have any digital payment methods and only relying on cash and who gave them the right to speak a income tax paying citizen with some rudeness and inappropriate behaviour ?
