Incident description: I went to Neeta Travels office near Pune Railway station to book 2 tickets for the same day to Vadodara. The ticket agent told me that all the seats are full and non AC prices are too high. I agreed and the booking agent found the ticket prices on the phone. First, he booked two tickets for 2400 rupees for the Neeta Volvo bus and canceled them saying that he did it by mistake. The fare was increased and then later he charged 2800 rupees. He didn't give any receipt just saying that you can show the message to the bus driver and told me the bus is very clean and comfortable. He told me that he will drop me and the accompanying passenger at the boarding point (Wakdewadi) at his cost since ticket prices were high but he didn't pay the auto fare. I paid the auto fare (60 rs) at the boarding point. When I got into the bus (NL-01-B-2246), the bus was in very poor condition. Untidy sheets and the linen on the bus were also in a bad condition. They later allowed many passengers from villages who would not have paid the premium fare which I had paid. The bus conductor made them sleep and sit on the aisle leaving bare minimum space to walk. The curtain on my side was damaged and when I asked the conductor, he said it has to be repaired. Everything was in a bad shape.
The journey from Pune to Vadodara was horrible given the premium ticket price which I had paid. Also, the bus never entered the city so I had to manage the taxi fare on my own to reach home. Neeta Volvo is a big name but their quality of buses is the same as other travel buses. I would ask the company to issue a full refund for my trip. The trip was very inconvenient.
