I paid the advance fee on 4th October, as the person i spoke to made false scenerio stating that classes have already started etc… so under this impression and pressure i paid the advance fee of Rs. 11, 800. However, one month into paying the fee, the classes did not even start.
And due to other personal reasons too, i spoke to them that i need to withdraw the admissions and want a refund. This was in November 2020. Its been 11 months now or continued calls, mails, watsapp messages… that they have failed to refund my amount after repeated requests. They keep repeating that they will refund soon or call after sometime/ call tomorrow. This has been a mental torture and absolutely detrimental and unprofessional.
First they faked that classes have already started and only one seat left as cheap marketing strategy to build pressure so that i pay up immediately … and then refusing to refund the money.
I request this forum to kindly look into the matter asap and help.

I have enrolled for the PHD programme in NIMS, Noida from Manav Bharti University in 2011 and attended the RDC meet on 18 / 12/ 2011 held at Solan(HP).
After getting a confirmation letter from Manav Baharti University regarding my selection in PHD program in their Solan campus. I have paid Rs.70, 000/- through NIMS, Noida in two installment of Rs. 35, 000/- each for which I have receipts.
Also submitted the progress report to NIMS, Noida on 24/5/2012.
I was informed in the month of June 2013 that Manav Bharti University will not be able to continue their PHD programme due to some reason (Which is indistinct yet) so students need to submit the affidavit to get 100% fees refund. Than I have submitted my affidavit and original copy of the enrollment letter to NIMS, Noida on 12 July 2013.
Since last 7 months NIMS people are misguiding me and saying that they have not received the refunds from Manav Baharti University. After so many follow ups I have only received Rs. 20, 000/- through a DD no. 781330 dated 30/01/2014.
Now Mr. Sunny Gupta (Vice Chairman, NIMS, Noida) is saying that he has submitted Rs. 70, 000/- to Manav Bharti University and received refund of Rs. 20, 000/- only and balance of Rs.50, 000/- is still pending with Manav Bharti University.
Till now I have not received any reply from Manav Bharti University / NIMS Noida so I am enforced to raise this issue to UGC and consumer forum for this fraud with me and so many other students who enrolled for PHD from Manav Bharti University, Solan through NIMS Noida.
Kindly guide / help to get the balance amount of Rs. 50, 000/- which is pending with Manav Bharti University confirmed by Mr. Sunny Gupta, NIMS, Noida.
