[Resolved] Nsdl E-Governance Infrastructure — registration problem - not processing contact details

I have been trying to continue registration for nps after generation of acknowledgement number however it is not getting past the 'contact details' step.in the correspondence address section, the 'state' box gets autofilled when i enter the pincode but disappears when i click 'save and proceed' and the screen keeps buffering indefinitely.
