I took an outstation ride with NTL on 7th Mar'15 from Chennai to Tirupati and back (Booking id A[protected]). I completed the ride the same day and as per company rules, I was required to pay only Rs 300 as driver charges. However, the driver took Rs 600 from me claiming some loophole in the rule. Next day when I checked with the company, I was told that I have been incorrectly charged and that the extra amount would be refunded by the driver shortly.
2 weeks have gone by with absolutely no action. The most appalling part was the attitude of the customer care and complaint departments of NTL. I was repeatedly cut off from the call when I asked to get connected to the complaints section of NTL. On the times that I did get connected, I was assured that the refund would take effect the very next morning and that they would call back. Next evening when I called again, I was again given the same assurances, but no action. Not even a courtesy call that they are looking into the complaint.
It is really disappointing to see a reputed company like NTL willing to cheat it's regular customers. Rs 300 is not a big deal for me, but breaking of the trust part definitely is. I would not like to travel again with NTL with such kind of harassment that I faced and would definitely not recommend NTL to others. There are plenty of honest cab services out there.
