Ola Cabs / Ani Technologies — Cancellation fee charged | |||||
I booked an Ola Cab Share (booking reference: OSN[protected] today morning and the Ola App showed that the Driver was 1 minute away. When I called the Driver, he said that he was far off and would take 12 to 15 minutes to reach. I told him that I was cancelling the ride and I cancelled the ride (reason: I changed my mind) within 2 minutes. Yet I was charged a cancellation fee of Rs. 25 on my next ride. Cancellation fee can be charged if I cancel the ride 5 minutes after booking it or if the driver waits for more than 5 minutes and I do not show up. Cancellation fee cannot be charged if Ola provides wrong information that the cab is just 1 minte away when it is actually 12-15 minutes away and the cancellation is done in less than 2 minutes after the ride is confirmed. This is higly unethical and unfair on the part of Ola nd they are penalising me for their own mistake. Was this information helpful? | |||||
