We have sent an email on January 4, 2022 to [protected]@olacabs.com with attached pictures of our payment details. Subsequently we also posted the complaint on their blog page. But there has been no response to our mail and the problem has not been resolved. We are therefore posting the details here. Hoping for a refund of the amount as we were charged twice.
On January 1, 2022, Saturday, at around 8.00 am we engaged driver Senthil Kumar R for travelling from RV Nagar, Chennai to Kalakshetra Foundation, Tiruvanmiyur, which place we reached at around 8.38 am.
2) Total amount payable was ₹ 372.00 per the invoice (picture of bill was attached).
3) At 8.39 am the first payment was made by UPI transfer to Senthilkumar Ramamoorthi by my daughter, Dr. Yadugiri. The amount paid was ₹390.00 as the driver insisted on being paid extra. (attached communication from bank, transaction id:[protected]
4) At 8.42 am, the second payment of ₹390.00 was made, again by UPI transfer by my daughter Dr. Yadugiri, to the same driver at a different id provided by him as he was apparently impatient and agitated at the time the transaction was taking to be processed at the bank end. 5) The second payment was made by us after the driver verbally committed himself to reversing the first payment if he ended up being paid twice.
6) When we realised that the payment of ₹ 390.00 had indeed gone through twice, and the driver had not bothered to reverse the amount as per his word, we tried to contact him on phone several times to no avail.
7) Our subsequent calls to Ola did not go through. So we sent an email as mentioned. But have not received even an acknowledgement till date.
