Ola Cabs / Ani Technologies — ola cabs: charge more than what is shown at the time of booking | |
I booked a share today at 04:17 pm. At the time of booking, the amount shown was rs 56, but when i got into the cab and gave the driver my otp, the amount showed as rs 76. This happens, i noticed, quite frequently in ola share. The amount seems to be shown as lower at the time of booking, in order to get the customer; once the person gets into the cab, he or she is forced to pay a higher amount. I've tried to reach the support via my ola apps regarding this particular issue, but the option to lodge a complaint of this particular nature has been removed by ola in their apps. They used to have the option of lodging a complaint about higher charges than quoted initially; but this option has been removed. So, now the customer has no way of recovering his or her money that was overcharge. Ola seems to be resorting increasingly towards unethical business practices, the way uber did. A class action suit is in order, because i am fed up with never knowing what i am going to be actually charged until i get into the cab.
