The ola driver wanted rs 300 as state tax. I denied to pay without receipt (As reimbursement is not processed without receipt). The driver said he had paid for a monthly/yearly tax and cannot give receipt for individual ride. The cab driver calls ola support team. A lady support member on phone, stresses him to somehow get the money from me without producing receipt. I called ola customer support, but they were of no help. Later, i wrote email to ola customer support, and they suggested me to directly pay such taxes to respective authorities. So, here is the contradiction: in one hand they are telling the driver to collect state/road tax money even without producing receipt; and on the other hand telling the customer to pay directly to tax authorities who would give me receipt. Anyway, the receipt is yet to receive.
Also, they have charged me insurance of rs 99, which i never opted. Maybe they have checked this option by default in order to trap the customers who are booking in a haste. Therefore, this option should be unchecked in the default setting, and ola should refund those who claim that they did not opt it by themselves (Including myself). Was this information helpful? |
