Ola Cabs / Ani Technologies — Unprofessional Service and Wrong Billing

I booked an outstation cab with OLA from T3 New Delhi Airport to my city (Muzaffar Nagar) on 21st March 2021, and everything was fine about the trip. [CRN [protected]]

Driver requested to pay by cash at the end of trip which I had no problem with. I checked the app, it showed me an amount payable as 3428 for the trip and a Trip Stop OTP. I paid[protected]+300 for state charges (Uttar Pradesh entry fees) and toll etc.) to the driver for the 152 km trip. I am not sure, if I booked the trip as postpaid, but even if it was, does it mean that I need to pay twice( Cash already paid and OLA postpaid?)

After that, next day, I realised, app is showing an amount of 535 payable for the 152km trip. This was the beginning of harassment.

On 27th March, I wrote an email to OLA, explaining my issue, with no logical explanation and my ticket was closed. This happened several times. Then I started getting calls and SMSs from OLA, asking to clear my dues. On asking, why should I pay this amount, even if I have to, where is the invoice for the amount that I have already paid. If I missed any amount from the actual dues, the invoice should say what was the actual amount and and how much I have paid etc. They just kept on saying 535 rupees, is what the app is showing. I kept on asking, for 152kms, how do you expect your customer to just pay 535, there is something wrong. Also, if your driver is not asking money from you, that means the trip was paid. NO Response to that also. I then raised it on twitter, couple of my queries were replied that they will look into the issue, but then it stopped as well.

I get a call from someone telling me, that he will help me resolve my issue. Then they will take the full case details from me, wasting 15mins, telling me we have noted and recorded the query, and your issue will be resolved in 24hours. Then, after 2 days, a new person will call me and convince me that he will help me, and same process repeats from beginning. This at least happened 5-10 times with different people.

OLA money has imposed late fine on me, twice, while this harassment was going on, I was bombarded with unnecessary calls, SMSs etc. Now, OLA has even stopped responding to my queries. When I try to open a new ticket, I get an email saying thanks for reaching out to us, and we will get back. Few days after, I will receive a response saying since we haven’t heard back from you, we are closing the case.

Now, I am receiving legal notices, on SMS, WhatsApp and calls by more than 10 different numbers. Continuously spamming me and threatening me. Got another call today from OLA Collections department. When I said, I have already paid for the trip, why do OLA keeps calling me back, she said, its because your ola trip was postpaid and you paid in cash. She was acknowledging the problem but not willing to assist. When I tried to talk further, she hung up. Such a rude service.

I have no reason, to not pay for the service that I have availed. But, this is unfair, I have done my part, why can’t just someone at OLA take responsibility of the case and help to close. I am not going to pay for something that I don’t owe. Either a meaningful explanation (Other than system is showing it), or remove the dues on this account. I am also request to terminate my 10 year old account, if this is the kind of service I am going to see in future.
