During peak hours, Ola charges its customers a multiplier on the normal fare and it can go upto 1.7x. This happened wth me as they charged me Rs. 762 (Booking ID: OSN[protected] when I normally pay only Rs. 400 to 450 for travelling from Gurgaon Sector 57 to Dwarka Sector 16. There is no logical explanation and my regular calls & conversation with managers in Ola Customer Service has not helped at all. According to OLA support, they charge extra so that they can pay and motivate cab drivers to be available in peak hours. But, I question the policy as a customer ends up paying almost twice the normal fare. In emergency situations, the customer having limited money will suffer as he will not be able to use the service. In my case, I cancelled the trip and waited for 2 hours on the road to get an alternate mode of travel at 5 AM in the morning Was this information helpful? |
