Ola Cabs — Missed a flight due to last minute cab cancellation by ola | |||||
The incident happened on 26th April. I had pre-booked an ola cab on 25th April (evening) for 5.30 am, 26th April as I had to catch a flight at 8.00. I stay in Noida and I had to travel to international airport, gurgaon to catch the flight (it takes around an hour to travel from my house to the airport). At 5.20 am, Ola automatically cancels my booking and I get a text message saying- we have cancelled your cab as there are no cabs available. I called the call center and checked but no could offer no alternate. It was 5.45 am. I had nobody at home to drop me to the airport, there is no public transport available at that time of the day, and no other cabs were available nearby. After frantic attempts of over half hour, I managed to find an uber. But it was too late. The flight had left by the time I reached the airport. I have been taking early morning flights and have been booking ola cabs in advance for 4 years now, so I was confident that the cab would arrive on time like always. But this incident had left me totally bitter towards ola. Ola is to be blamed for the missed flight and the client meeting I had to miss because of the same (the consequences of which have been very bad and have resulted in mental harassment). Therefore, I would want to get compensated for the amount I had spent on booking the flight (as for the mental harassment, it can't be reversed and I plan to avenge for that by never ever taking an ola for any purpose).
