On 25th April (Monday) I pre-booked a Ola for going to Bangalore airport at 11 am and got a confirmation number CRN[protected] with driver Shivaraju S in a Silver Indica KA545189. Around 11 am when I called to check where my Ola was the driver said I'm outside the gate, please talk to security. We stay inside IIMB campus where security needs permission to let drivers'in. However when I was talking to the security (assuming it's IIMBs) he mentioned that it was a private flat somewhere else. The driver told me that my location was showing somewhere else and didn't even try to locate and come to the pickup point, but cancelled the confirmed booking. At this time I was desperately trying to locate another taxi. Many taxis were available but while booking the cab it kept saying 'Booking failure''. Finally when we found a taxi I had to pay 2.9 times the regular fare to reach my destination. I had the same experience 2 days before when I tried to book a cab to go to Rajajinagar for a temple visit. 'Booking failure'happened 6 times and after 10 mins msgs were coming regarding the booking. This is either a new trick of Ola or a bug in their system. Better stay away from Ola for sometimes friends. Just a friendly warning.
