Ola Cabs — Phone stolen | |||||
Hi, My name is bharath and this is regarding a recent ride i took on ola. I was travelling via ola cabs on to bangalore international airport since i had to drop my friend who was injured to the airport. Throughout the way i was using my phone and the gps was on. Since my friend had fractured his leg, he needed help in getting off the car, and i placed my phone on the car seat and helped my friend get off the car. When we had settled, and when i looked back for the cab to take my phone, by then the ola cab driver drove off along with my phone. Soon i took my friends phone to give a call to my phone, and the phone was switched off and i also tried calling the ola cab driver a couple of times but he just wasn’t answering the call. Only after a couple of hours i got through the drivers phone and when i asked about the whereabouts of my phone, he said some strangers got into the car, and they have taken my phone. He also mentioned that for about an hours’ time, he was at the airaport itself. (Then why didn’t he even answer my call) So, since the driver mentioned that some strangers took my phone from the car when they boarded the car, its clear that the phone was still in the car and the cab driver was fully aware of it.In the first place he should have drove off and secondly, since he had my number he could have called back and given my phone to me. I took this issue to the ola team and all they said was they have enquired with the driver, and since he said he doesn’t have the phone, we are closing your complaint. I even asked them to track the ola cab drivers gps records for the 1 hours’ time, which he said was at the airport, to ensure if he was telling the truth, the concerned staff at ola mentioned that can’t be done. I had i don’t really understand, how ola can just close the complaint by telling that “the driver says he doesn’t have the phone”. Since all the details, i. E. The driver details, including the taxi number was in the form of a msg on that phone which is stolen, i asked for the same with ola, to share the details with me, and they tell that they cant share the details with me. I need justice and i need you to help me out in this situation and probe into the matter as it is not just a matter of 100 or 200 rupees but a phone that costs about 10000 inr. i have booked the cab from my number [protected].even after half an hour i havnt got the taxi.even that cab driver was not picking my call.i faced so much problem because of that i lost my s22 ultra and after a few days of back and forth emails and a call they said they can't do anything because they asked the driver and he said no like obviously he said no he got a free phone
