Ola Cabs — Unprofessional Drivers

I had taken a Ola cab along with elderly mother to reach home from a hospital. Once we told the area name, the driver did not ask any further questions and proceeded in the direction of my house. After passing through some distance, he missed to take a right at a main signal and proceeded on. When I asked him why he did not take that major turn to reach my area of residence, his instant reply was "we are going to your house, so you should only tell me which route to take." I was taken aback by his rude answer, but I asked him why he didn't check with me if he didn't know the route, which is normally taken by all OLA drivers. Again his reply was "you should have entered destination in the app, we are going to your house, so you should tell the route, if you do not specify the address, I can take any route to any part of that area" etc. He took us through all the small gullies and roamed all over, clearly not knowing the route to my place, all the while fighting with me and not having the basic courtesy to listen to me or speak in a decent genre. After reaching my home amidst a lot of drama, he mumbled in a rough tone that we need not pay him and ask us to leave. I told him clearly that we do not need any free rides from OLA and we only expect a safe ride. For that his response was "who asked you to book my cab in OLA?" As though, it was my choice to pick up his services! I just left the cash on his car seat and came out with a resolve to raise this issue to the top management of OLA. Please remember that we need safe and comfortable rides and offering a free ride at the end of a horrible journey at the hands of this rough and rogue driver is a serious way of insulting the public! No idea of the route, no brains to use the map, complete arrogance in not listening to me, no ettiquettes, no concept of customer service! Please do not do quality checks for your vehicles alone to make sure they run without breakdowns on the road. Please perform serious BG checks of your drivers and conduct customer service and basic behavourial classes for them, before you let them loose on the road to attack innocent civilians who are at their mercy when they board the cab. This driver harassed two ladies, my mother and myself and literally threatened us. if you cannot provide any safety to your passengers, you guys do not deserve to be in business. Our country is notorious for harboring a reactive attitude. Please act before your drivers become a threat to society and cause any unfortunate incident. The gentlemen, ladies and elderly people of this country deserve a good and safe system. Don't cheat the public with promises of a good service when your cabs are operated by ruffians. You have a social responsibility as a company to hire a good driver, not someone who can switch gears and move a locomotive. Even a well-trained monkey can do that.
