One Assist Airtel Secure — Mobile insurance Airtel Secure Plan
My airtel secure claim was rejected with a given reason that the phone handling was improper! My phone slipped out of my wife's hand and u people are like, there should be an external factor which must the reason of breakage.. Why? Is it necessary to meet with an accident with bus or truck for getting ur claim from your insurance company? In policy there is clearly written that"" accidental damage subject to terms conditions definitions that damaged means to damage to the insured product due to unintentional drop or collision of the insured product" Screw with Your Airtel secure plan.. none of the insurance company does this.. 1. U should learn something from other insurance companies and their policies. 2. There was no such policy mentioned in your term and conditions that there should be an external factor. 3. Phone slipping out of hand is an accident, isn't it? 4. I had my back cover on, tempered on and i had an insurance from the so called India's best network.. now what should i do to take proper care of my device.. if it slips out of hand that doesn't mean that the handling was improper, slipping is also an accident man! Please help me soon regarding this issue.. Registered contact number : [protected] Name : Ram Niwas Singh One more thing, its been more than 10 days that my claim was rejected but till today u haven't received my damaged device yet.. i called 121 and also one assist customer care, both are putting it on each other.. one assist is saying call 121 and airtel is saying we cant help you, we dont have any information.. I guess taking a strict legal action is probably the last thing left to do.. Was this information helpful?

I also had a bad experience with Airtel Secure. I was disappointed as claim on my handset for which I had been paying insurance amount for past 6 months got rejected on basis that my insurance was not even valid. The stupid reason, Airtel team gave me was that since my phone was not purchased by me (the invoice was not in my name), I am not eligible for claim. If this had been the case, you should not even insure my device. At least the false apprehensions that my phone is insured won't be there.
Also they have these loopholes in their insurances processes. They will renew insurance subscription for 3 or even more years and take money from you but in terms and conditions they write that insurance is only valid if the device is 1 year old and not beyond that. Why the hell you guys are even charging the customer then. For child numbers, they will take money, but they say that they do not insure child numbers.
Airtel people, be clear in what you say and what you charge. If some conditions are mandatory, then cross check and do not take money for those accounts which do not fall in purview of your conditions. This is a big scam and the company has been making a lot of money out of this.
