I has insured my mobile handset through one assist. Later, i had extended the insurance through oneassist. The extension took place on 8th june because the insurance was getting expired on 14th june. I had basically received a call from the renewal department of oneassist suggesting to consider the renewal option. I agreed and paid a sum of rs 934.15.
However, this occurred while my handset had been submitted to oneassist for an insurance claim expecting that the handset would be repaired and sent back soon. On 10th june, i received a message from oneassist that my handset was beyond economic repair. An insurance settlement amount had been sanctioned to me and the handset was retained by oneassist. This means that the renewal of insurance on handset is not required any more. Infact, i shouldn't have received a call from oneassist to access the renewal option if my handset was submitted for a claim.
Later, it was informed that if i purchased a new handset within the same range as my previous handset, the new handset would be insured with no cost. But my new handset is of a higher amount and was refused to be insured even when i was willing to pay some extra amount.
In view of the above matter, i had also called the customer care department several times but my call was put on hold and nobody responded has ever responded.
I would request a refund of the payment of rs 934.15 or use this money for insuring my new handset (With some top up amount from my own pocket).
