OnePlus India — Complaint Regarding Warranty Denial and Unacceptable Service for OnePlus Buds 3

Dear Respected Officials,

I am writing to you distressed and disappointed over the terrible service and unjust denial of warranty for my OnePlus Buds 3 by the OnePlus company.

Product & Purchase Information:

Product: OnePlus Buds 3
Purchase Date: May 01, 2025
Warranty Status: Within 1-year warranty period
Purchase Price: INR 4, 599

Nature of the Issue:

Recently, the charging pin for the left earbud inside the carrying case developed a mechanical fault and stopped functioning. This is a clear design or manufacturing defect, and there is no sign of any external damage or corrosion that might be seen with 'liquid entry' as alleged by the OnePlus service center.

Experience at the OnePlus Service Centre:

On reporting the matter at the OnePlus Authorized Service Centre, OnePlus Experience Store - PVR Anupam Saket, 12, Community Centre, New Delhi - 110017, they unjustifiably diagnosed the problem as a result of 'liquid entry'. My legitimate warranty claim was unfairly denied due to this inaccurate diagnosis.

In desperation, I even agreed to pay for the replacement case, although it should be covered under warranty. But to my surprise, they informed me that they couldn't even provide a case of matching color due to unavailability, which is an unacceptable solution.

Impact and Grievance:

The mental agony, frustration, and inconvenience caused by this entire process, especially from a premium brand like OnePlus, are difficult to measure. The denial of a legitimate warranty claim and subpar service quality has eroded my trust in the brand. The thought of carrying a mismatched set of earbuds, that too at the cost of INR 4, 599, is upsetting and unacceptable.

I had tried to resolve the issue by contacting OnePlus Support multiple times, but my efforts remained unfruitful. Therefore, I am compelled to escalate the matter via this platform. I hope that my issue will be looked into and resolved by replacing the entire unit: Case + Buds following the proper warranty norms.

Please note that if my grievance is not addressed promptly and satisfactorily, I have no choice but to consider seeking legal help.

I sincerely hope that this forum can help me get justice.
