Hi,

My name is rahul verma. I am a resident of budh vihar delhi 110086. I would like to raise a complaint against orient company's customer care attitude & product (Orient ceiling fan model “summer cool”, s. No fg 1s 56ab 0077011) which i bought around 4 months back (29th april 2016)

First of all i would like to tell you that the fan which i purchased is a defective piece. After purchasing this product i installed it and it isn’t working properly since the day of purchase. Moreover, when i asked the company to replace that fan as it was a defective piece, they sent someone to fix that up, that technician visited and somehow it was fixed at that time. However, in few days we have started facing the same problem again and had called once again for the assistance, now this time we had someone else to fix the issue, who upon visiting rather solving the issue gave us some real things to worry about.
He said that the roof is not in shape which is required for this fan. The design of the ceiling is not appropriate for this fan to work in a proper manner.
He also gave us some vague calculations about how long the downrod in the ceiling fan should be. Now he’s done with everything he could do to help us other than fixing the issue. After wasting my time for almost 1 hour he told us that this fan will not work under this roof.
One should understand that its summers, its burning outside, without this fan it’s not possible to survive in such weather conditions and it’s been more than 4 months that i have not been provided with any solution to my existing problem with the product.
I am very much disappointed with the product along with the services provided for it. It looks like that i have been cheated and fooled by the misleading & hidden information because if there have been such things like the size of the downrod or the ceiling design then they must have had that mentioned on the box or if not that way then once should have been told about all that necessary adjustments while purchasing the product.

Now i have some below mentioned points which should be clear from their side without any further delay:-

1) when i told them and raised a complain on the next day of purchasing that the product is not working properly then instead of changing the product why they sent a technician for repairing of fan. It means they are making fool or cheating on customers by selling them defective products intentionally.
2) orient's customer care department is good for nothing. I was almost begging to register my complaint for two days however they were not able to update my address in their systems. And finally they updated the address of someone from hyderabad, which shows their unprofessional & careless behavior about their work responsibilities or you can say that they are doing all these manipulations deliberately.
3) as we all know that we use to buy products like fan for summers, so i bought this fan in april & now august is almost ending which means me and my family suffers in burning summers because of their fraudulence.
4) i bought this fan because of so called reputed company “ orient” & felt cheated from last 4 months.
5) we had a marriage function at my home in last month july 2016. There were so many guests & relatives came at my place and because of their 3rd class defective fan we got humiliated as well.
6) in last 4 months, there were so many instances when i or my family members had faced so many problems like itching, skin allergy & illness.
7) from last 4 months, we are feeling physically & mentally harassed by orient's company & feeling insulted as well because of their defective product & unprofessional & fraudulence behavior.


Now as all things are going beyond the limit & these guys seem least interested in their customer issues, i finally decided to raise this issue to get the concrete resolution.

As orient are harassing me & my family mentally & physically from last 4 months, i will not tolerate it any more. So now i want compensation for all this fraudulence & carelessness done by this company without any further delay

• first of all i want the refund of money which i spend on their product.
• i don’t want any repairing or exchange of this product any more.
• i don’t want any technician to be visited at my place with any excuses otherwise i will call the cops and register a fir against that person as well.
• i want the compensation for the physical & mental harassment which i & my family are facing from the day we purchased the defective product.


I have a video clip with me in which the so called technician of orient company is accepting the fact the orient company make fool of customers by selling the product which is useful with so many hidden conditions which is not written on their documents or product box as well which will come under fraudulence.

Called many times, no response, its about a month now
There is a prob in my orient fan it makes too much noise when the fan speed is slow
My fan is im warranty only 3 months old
