Passport Office Chandigarh Complaints & Reviews

Myself and my wife applied for passport more than four months back.The file number allotted were CHDW46074710 and CHDW46077510. We both are govt. servants and submitted necessary annexures in this regard. No police verification was required inboth cases. However the status shown by them till date on their site is " Police verification pendig". The passports of my choldren applied much later have been received more than one month earlier, those too after police verification. Inordinate delay is unexplained.Nobody is attendingto their given phone numbers.

I am writing this letter on behalf of my mother Mrs. Harbans kaur gill, file no. CH17Z[protected]. she had applied for passport on[protected]. till date we have not received her passport. following are some facts :-

I had visited Regional passport office chandigarh on in the month of july (cannot remember date) and met assistant passport officer. i came to know that an objection had been raised and a letter has been issued. although, we have never received any letter from your department. there were two objections obj17 & obj28. i was pursuaded by the assistant passport officer to provide just voter Id Card of my father ( husband's id prrof) in lieu of this case. 'nothing else was required' according to him and only ID proof would suffice.

I came back to the office on[protected] and met the than Assistant passport officer and submitted/furnished all relevant documents including photocopies of Id proofs,my father's Id proof an Affidavit from my father for correct name and originals. officer was satisfied and i provided assurance that we will get her passport in 2 weeks time. til date there is no sign of the document.

Now again, upon visiting the 'passport seva portal' it shows the same objection list. i don't know the exact status and why would your department will require the same documents again and again. there is no letter supporting the same from your department for the second time. this is leading to mental trauma now as my mother's travel plans are haltered for no reasons.


would there be any solution to this problem, as it's already been 6 months now.

The passport status of my mother and father has not been updated on internet.

Moreover status of passport of my father is still unavailable.

No one is picking call not even officers of Passport Chandigarh don’t even care to speak to me.

If you can resolve my problem it will really appreciable.

I had applied passport to Chandigarh RPO on 1-Jun-2010, all the formalities and Police Verifications have been completed. Once on the status enquiry website it was diplayed that the passport will be dispatched in early August 2010. But I have not received my passport till now (October 2010). From past almost 3 months the status says that passport will be dispatched in a weeks time. I dont know what the problem is and where to contact. The file number is CHD-F[protected], any help on this will be appreciated.

Sir, I request you -- As my son passport was expiering in APRIL 2011, so if inquiry is necessary as there no change of residence of Passport holder.
If necessary, then send file for Police Inquiry to SSP Ludhiana
If not required then PLEASE SEND THE PASSPORT . and inform me at [protected]@gmail.com

I submitted the applications for passports of my daughter Niketa Singla & of my son Romit Singla at Suwidha Centre Bathinda on 03.08.2010 vide file ref. no.CHD Z 00372910 & CHD Z 00373010 respectively. The police verification has already been done on 31.08.2010. Whenever I see the status of these it appears either file ref. no. is wrong or information not received. Please intimate how much time it will take to prepare these passports?

My wife Elizabeth Noel [file No. Z 800299 dated July 30, 2010 for new passport] my son Ashish Nathaniel Noel [File Number Z 800300 dated July 30, 2010 for renewal ] and self Arvind Justin Noel file No.Z 800298 for renewal submitted our application for the renewal of our passports. There is no information being made available as to the delay since we were assured at the e-sampark kendra, Sector 10 Chandigarh through which we applied the the same will be done within 30 days.
Request expedite of the process since my son's application for further studies abroad is getting delayed.

Sir,Myself Rajbir Singh submitted my passport for change of snap in passport at chandigarh passport office,my file no is : D001370,they gave me dispached date 9/9/2010,my police report & all document has been cleared but they are harrasing me,i tried 30 times on phone to call them but their were no respond,i think they are busy in tea,you can see many person outside chandigarh passport office like me,who come every day for their passport but their was no respond,next month i have to applied for USA working visa but i think they willnt allow me to apply for visa,please do something if you can,i request people dont apply passport in chandigarh passport office. It has been more than one and half month but till date I have not received passport at my permanent address. Also there is no status on www.passport.gov.in.

I had applied for passport on 25/02/2010 at Suwidha centre, Bathinda vide token no.17084. They sent the file No.Z00089110 of Sunita Singla D/O Harbans Lal Singla AP-08, GZS CET, Dabwali Road, Bathinda to Passport office Chandigarh on 31/05/2010. Till date no information is available on net. When we enter our file No. it shows either file no. is wrong or information not received. We do not know the status of our passport. Please do check it.

I really wonder that why there is so much of delay in the process, as all the relevant documents were attached and the appropriate fee was paid.

I would request you to pay attention on this matter and help me out as I am unable to achieve a visa because of this unnecessarily delay.

Hello Sir/ Madam;

I on behalf of my father *Narendra Paul Gill*, *File Reference Number :* *
CHD-Z[protected]* who a government employee, want to say that.
when i went to submit my application for passport in Passport ofc, Hisar
Court.

At that time they removed papers of police verification, saying that
government employees only need identity certificate, no police verification.
and i submitted the application on 11/03/2010.
Till May 5, 2010 there was no status record on net.

but now its saying that police inquiry not received.

I am not gettn any way out of it..
kindly guide me, or please check the file again.

1. i have applied for 3 passport for my self(renewal) my daughter and son (new).
2. the reference no. are
(a) pankaj mehta---z00161610 from bathinda the computer now shows police verfication not received while this is a case of renewal where as the old passport was shown and verified by bathinda sub passport office. the reasons are unknown and the same has not been sent back also to the SSp office.
(b) varun Mehta - age 5 yr a minor and whose passport form waa attached with the passport of myself and my wife and all other documents and sent to the regional passport office chandigarh in Apr 10. firstly for the whole month the computer showed status as dispatched on 08-04-10 and suddenly it is learnt that it has now been sent back on 05-04-10 back for varification the bathinda SSP has not received it as i have checked all receipt and the passport not been isssued.
(c) penaz mehta daughter age 16 sent to the regional office on 26-04-10 from bathinda not received by the regional office till now that is 06-05-10
2. what is happening to the claim of clearning all applications as fast as possible and on ground the whole process has already taken more than 21/2 month and i am where i started with the difference that the forms as also not with me and no information is coming through.
3. an earlier action is expected please in this matter

I submitted my passport application form on 31/12/2009 and the file number is CHDZ69248909.The police verification was done on 10/01/2010 at Panchkula,Haryana. In passport enquiry status,I am getting "Police Report has not been received" message. So kindly see the police verification is sent as early as possible.

I am Pervinder Kaur i want to address you about some problems being faced by me due to Police inquiry for my passport from last six months as i have done nothing which is against the law. I have not received my passport as yet.

I had applied for my passport in august 2008 at that time i was living in mohali with my husband. I had submitted all the documents which were required to make passport and completed all the formalities which were required as per law and i didn't gave any false information.
Due to physical and mental harassment by my in-laws my parents took me back to their home on September 17th 2008 since then i am living with my parents.

On 1-10-09 I received CID inquiry, they told me that i have provided birth certificate with my all document which shows my different Name and mother name and different date of birth as against the other documents. I want to tell you that i didn't provide that birth certificate infect i have never seen or used that certificate in my all life during my school days or my all education or in any legal proceedings. At the time of inquiry i came to know that my passport has already been delivered but I haven't received my passport but an inquiry issue has come to me. Even then I had gone to CID office and provided all relevant proofs and required documents which i had used to make my passport and they had given me a clean chit and assured me that they will send all the updated information regarding it to passport authority. After one month again a police person came from SSP office sangrur regarding same matter and I provided them all the document and proofs again which i had given to CID office.But again and again they are coming to my home and threatening me for those things which i have not done. I had asked them about the complaint no. or person who has filed complaint against me but they didn't provide any information.
I request you to please provide me some way as I feel somebody is misusing my passport and has submitted false certificate to passport authority. I also want to provide your attention on certain things-

1. How can passport authority issue passport if I had submitted certificates which show dissimilar information about me.
2. If my passport has been issued who has received my passport as I haven't received it.
3. Who has submitted that birth certificate as neither i used that nor i submitted when i applied for my passport.

I am ready to come to passport office to provide any information regarding me which i had submitted with my application. Please help me i am very much stressed. I shell be thankful to you.

This is to inform that on my Passport No.G9526085 issued on 18/07/2008 Name- Manju Shrotriya Made from Regional Passport Office Chandigarh, They have wrongly mentioned Father's Name as Mahesh Shrotriya instead of Mahesh Chand Rawat and the spelling of My husband's surname is wrongly written as SAROTRIYA instead of SHROTRIYA.
