Passport Office Lucknow Complaints & Reviews

I have applied for my and my family members passport around 4 months back, but when i m checking my online status it shows that your police report have not been submitted, but when i have enquired about the police reports in my city offfice ( concerned), they are saying the reports have been already recieved by Lko passport office. then why it's not showing the correct status online, secondally i have to go out of country in the beginnning of nex month( jan2010), but before that there is visa need be prepare, but when i am not getting my passport on time, then how can i move ahead. i have tried the lucknow office phone no which is mentioned on their website i.e. [protected], but no body bothers to pick the call. Is this the legal system we are taking about to faith on.. sir/madam, plz tell us what to do, we are literally very much fed up.

The passport office Lucknow is the most corrupt government office I have ever seen. While other passport offices deliver passports within 2 months of applying. RPO Lucknow takes at least 4 months and this period can extend to 6 months or even a year. Also the passports often have blunder errors in printing and photographs.
The police people and staff harass the people who come for passport so that they have to to take help of the numerous dalals and agents who can be found outside the office. They openly offer to get the passport done early and to get the person direct token number.
The staff of the office is only interested in making money through the bribes given by these agents. The staff behave as if they are VIP's and do not behave properly with the people who come for inquiries of delayed passports.
I hope the consumercomplaints.in users will support me and do something to eradicate this menace.

I would request you to refine the process of Passport Applications submitted to the district centre of Passport Offices.

Some common issues faced by the individuals are-
1. Clercial staffs do the delay in sending the form to Lucknow Office.
2. Clercial staffs asks for money for speedy processing. If you don't give them money they will delay your form to send Lucknow.
3. There is no status track for the forms which are submited to the District Center Passport Collection Offices. If you track the Application Status it shows the information is not available all time.

I am a holder of Passport No. G9874918 issued on 14/07/2008 on Lucknow.But there is a mistake in my name speling it is MOHAMMAD AISF instead of MOHAMMAD ASIF. Now I has status since dispatch to your office and the reply reads “ File No (LKOZ 264762 /2010) is either wrong or information not available.”
Now more than one year has passed and your office is further delaying it.

Sir, look into the mater and do the needful.

It is needless to say that many people who applied nearly the same time are going to receive and I, for me, my case has no trace.

All enclosed 05 drafts dated 31.10.2011were already paid on 15.12.2011, 22.02.2012 & on 13.03.2012 but in case of mine (Manoj Kumar Agnihotri) wherein NOC on the Prescribed annexture of SBI Kanpur Main Branch Kanpur 208001 were enclosed & fee in the form of Bank Draft dated 31.10.2011 for passport has also been paid on 13.03.2012 but neither any enquiry has been carried out of Manoj Kumar Agnihotri nor the passport has been received so far. Incase of my family members passports as stated above in tabular form, still to be received at our end. Sir, despite of my repeated follow up/complaints, none of the progress in the case has been advised on my e-mail/mobile phone nor the phone calls were received at your office. Please do the needful earliest & oblige.

As per our last visit on 22nd March at your regional passport office LKO the file status was shown that police report has not been received and still the situation is same.
But the real status is totally difference, when we check in your doc section, The police report has been received on 13.03.2012 and parcels are not opened, than I request to Mr. J.K. Shrivastava (Assistance passport officer) on 15th of march 2012 that the file has been forwarded by S.P office Ballia By the OBC No.698, Sr. No. 311 on dated 03.03.2012. After this they write on my inquiry application that the files have been received. Again I went to request with Mr. Shrivastawa and he agreed that you have to come after one week & collect your passport.

As of APO promise I feel gladness that in our areas also we are getting such kind of response in our Government offices which is good signs for North Indians future. But after one week again I went to him and the situation was same, still the inquiry status showing that police report has not been send. And I come to discuss with APO Mr. J.K. Shrivastava and I ask him that sir can I get my wife passport, that he ask me where is your previous inquiry receipt or comment, as I inform him that you kept on your table & told to come after one week than he said ok go & take the current information by Doc section. Then again they check their entry register and write on my application that police report has been received on 16.03.2012.

After this status report again i went to APO Mr. Shrivastava and he ask me to write an application than why do we need this passport by priority, than I write the real reason and attached the doc also for the reason and he write on my application for dispatch on 23rd march 2012.

Today (28.03.2012) I checked myself online application status and found the situation is same which is continue from last two months. So I'm humbly requesting you to kindly consider it as urgent matter and give us the favorable response regards this issue.
