Dear Sir,

Due to ungency, I had applied for my wife's passport on 14 Jan'09 in Tatkal scheme. As per the tatkal scheme I should get the passport with in a week. I had also paid the addition fees for tatkal.

Respected Sir,

Myself Himanshu Singh from Gorakhpur.I have applied for passport on 11 april as per the joining requirement of company (file no-LKOA[protected]. The enquiry went to my home when i was appearing for exams in my college. When I came back I come to know that my file went back to the main Passport office without verification. The officer who came to my home told me on phone that my father didn't showed any interest to him( he meant for some money). Then I gave a reminder in Lucknow Office for re-enquiry on 21 July. Till now I didn't got any information from passport office.

Sir I have to join on 23 feb. Atlast when I had no option I had to come to you for help. You better know value of job in this recession. Plz help sir. Please reply soon sir.

Requesting attention from the authorities (Vigilance and Ministry of External affairs)



I am mailing again to brief all the incidents in points for the ease o[censored]nderstating.



1) I applied for my Passport on August 2007 under Normal conditions.

2) My address was of Lucknow that time however my Father for transferred and my address was not verified.

3) Told the same to the Passport Authorities Lucknow.

4) Passport Authorities asked me submit an affidavit for address change and I did the same.

5) I was supposed to Travel to Canada on November 23rd 2008. I went to Lucknow and submitted the application again with emergency letter and 5000 extra as asked my some guy who was assistance of Mister Bhalla, the Superintendent.

6) They said the report will go to Varanasi.I very next day however it came on 22 nd November.(That shows how active they are)

7) Police report went on 24th from Varanasi.I however employees at Passport office updated the Report on 5th December.

8) In the mean time I was in Hyderabad and also mailed Chief Passport Officer telling the urgency that I have crossed the deadline of my travel date and my job is in trouble.

9) I got a reply from Delhi office which was hope of light.

10) I went to back to Lucknow again this month along with the copy of the email and urgency letter issued by the company again.

11) I met Mr. Bhalla and he told that my file is lost and I need to submit the documents again( unethical)

12) I almost cried and touched his feet.

13) His P.A asked me give 9 Thousand and promised me to give passport next day.

14) Again I went to Lucknow but was not allowed to meet Mr. Bhalla.Security guards lied to me that he is out of town .Suddenly I saw him but he refused to recognize me and again asked to submit the form and documents as per him the file was lost. Also he took 9000 thousand rupees from me

15) I met Deputy Passport officer on and begged to give me by hand on 12th as it was Friday and I was again supposed to travel back to Hyderabad as on Monday I was supposed to apply for VISA and US embassy is about to get close because Christmas holidays.

16) After listening to the whole story he said he will give me or my father on 15th December 08 .I requested to give on 13th as my job was in trouble. He abused me in his room and asked to get out. He was sounding very illiterate and rude.

17) Anyways I came back to Hyderabad and my Father went to Lucknow office to collect. However even that day Passport was not fully ready, also they did not hand over to him (though I gave an affidavit.)They said it was dispatched on[protected].



18) I was almost dead waiting for it and counting every second to have a glimpse of it and last day for VISA is 23rd December.



ALAS! I GOT TO KNOW THAT THEY DISPATCHED TO THE PASSPORT TO THE SAME OLD LUCKNOW ADDRESS WHICH WAS NOT VERIFIED IN 2007.



THANKS A LOT TO MINSTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS FOR HELPING ME OUT IN THIS CRITICAL SITUATION..STILL I I DON’T HAVE



I have spent almost 1 Lac in traveling from Hyderabad to Lucknow.

Sustaining pressure from my company.

Clients at lost.

Mental Trauma.

Insecurity in IT industry right now

Loss of job and career.





You people don’t have any right to give me all mentioned above losses.

It surprising that because o[censored]neducated employees in Passport Office Lucknow (of course uneducated as they dispatched on the address which was not verified and ignored the current address) I am being suffered



HUH! A terrorist can get passport in once day with wrong motives and an educated software employee is crying and fighting to save his career.

I am addressing this mail to the Chief Passport Office Delhi.



Its really shame on Passport Department and Deputy Passport officer (Lucknow) that in spite of immense requests and begging to the authorities my passport was not delivered on time.



To be honest I went to Lucknow office from Hyderabad and was there for five days along with my company emergency letter and copy of this mail but no one entertained properly. One of clerks asked 9 thousands rupees and promised to give me the passport on 11th November however when I went next day he refused to recognize me.



Next day I met Deputy Passport Officer (Lucknow) and told my story and urgency and he INTENTIONALLY ordered my passport on 15th of November .I begged like anything to give me on 12th as everything was done but finally he ABUSED me in his room.



I cam back to Hyderabad on 13th and send my dad to collect the Passport on 15th .However they said they will dispatch on 16th …



Till not I don’t have Passport and after enquiry I got to know that THEY are so EDUCATED that they dispatched on my old address.













Shame on you people that you don’t have any mercy or respect for IT people.



You guys are good for nothing. Deputy Passport Office (though not even worth as sweeper) abused me in room and asked to get out when I was begging for my passport.



Such people should be hanged. It came to my job and if an educated and responsible people like me can’t work and all the CORRUPTED, UNEDUCATED employees of Lucknow Passport Office should be TERMINATED immediately.



This is shame on out country that we work this way.

This mail is not to inform you but please take it as a warning that if I don’t get my Passport in 10 hours I will escalate this to Prime Minster

This is not a small issue.



YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE SHAME ON YOURSELF .YOU ARE ABUSE TO THE SOCIETY.

I had applied for tha passport in Aug 07: file no LKOA12018207.
All the verifications had been done within two months and after that the status was "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the dispatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be dispatched in a week's time". This status was being displayed for 5-6 months.
Now no information is available abt my application on portal.
Can anybody suggest me what should i do now?
Can i file an RTI application or a case in consumer forum?

The Lucknow office has taken about 2 years to issue the passport, since time taken was very longwe have changed our accomodation and my son Mayank Singh has joined IIT Delhi and is pursuing his masters design in engineering.(M.DES)
The rules of passport office say they can only mail to the same address.
Under present scenerio options are two.
1.He be allowed to personally collect it from passport office.
2.It be redirected to the new location that is IIT Delhi.
The rules in India is only to harass the honest citizens.
People like mymon brothers will get it on priority so that they can flee after Mumbai blasts.

my passport( F.R.N LKOA1897407) was sent to me at my present adress which is my hostel in june 2008. i was home for the sumer vacations and could not receive it. thereafter i went to the lko passport ofice n submited an application with an envelope of rs.35 in august 2008. but i hav not received my passport till date.
kindly let me know the staus and why is it not being posted again on my email id.

I have applied for passport on 28/06/08 and had police inquiry in July month End. The status of my passport got updated few days before when i send mail. The status says the police inquiry has not been received. In applied date they say[protected] The day on which i filed complain or send mail on rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in)

I have to get my passport within 20 days. It's emergency. I have to go to abroad. Now what should i do?

I bag you guide me and help me to come out of this problem.

Despite constant follow-up and repeated reminders the passport autorities did not issued the passort of my wife and the message on nic information displaying since october2007 this will be dispatched within a week .While apporoaching in passport office in january 2008, the authorities suggested me to submit the affidavit regarding non- issuanceof the passport previously, which i also submitted in march 2008 but the passport is still awaited and the latest information on nic displyed " either file no is wrong or information not available

Hi,

My infant child passport is stuck up in Lucknow passport office.

Lucknow RPO issued passport for my son but they did mistake in parent's name and then we requested to correct and re-issue the passport. After that once they displayed on the internet that passport will be issued on 16th July 2008. It is nearly 2 months since my first application, after repeated email and phone call to Lucknow passport office nothing has been done. All my schedules and commitments are getting affected by a silly mistake from RPO Lucknow.

Could someone please help me by providing information as how this problem can be resolved?
