Passport Office Mumbai — Passport police verification done but not issued

We had applied for my 7 year old daughter's passport renewal on 08/12/2025. The same day, a police office came home and police verification was done. On 10/12/2025, the status of passport application changed to - ''Police report has been submitted by Sion Police Station, Mumbai and sent to SP Office, District Mumbai for review''.

The file no. for passport application is BO[protected].

After this, there has been no progress. It is nearly a month now.

Could someone please advice, what is the issue and why is the passport not issued yet?
