[Resolved]  Passport Office Mumbai — passport verification pending for 2 months

I applied for a fresh passport on October 11, 2024. The application has been pending for police verification for three weeks, but I haven’t received any call from the police station. I went to the Dindoshi Police Station to inquire about the verification process, and they gave me a contact number for a policeman responsible for the verification.

I called him many times, but he kept saying he would come today or tomorrow, and he didn’t show up for a month. Finally, after calling him multiple times, he came to my home for the verification process. After three days, I went to the Dindoshi Police Station to submit the documents.

However, 15 days later, the status still shows: “Police report has been submitted by Dindoshi Police Station, Mumbai, and sent to SP Office, District Mumbai for review.” It’s been three months since I applied for the passport, but I still haven’t received it.
