Dear sir,

I have applied for a new passport on 27/09/2013. At passport seva kendra malad(Mumbai).

Then the all the procedures were completed in october. And since the november the passport online status was showing (Police report has been submited by your respective police office and is under processing at regional passport office mumbai)

Then i have raised a grievance on 21 december 2013 on passport...

I applied my passport application in district passport application center aurangabad as on 17.07.12. Police enquiry from aurangabad police is also over,. I got outward no also from district passport center but still my passport not received to me.

I HAVE SUBMITTED MY PASSPORT APPLICATION ON 24.02.2012 VIDE FILE # L006634 AT MUMBAI RPO AT WORLI..TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED PASSPORT/ ANY COMMUNICATIONS FROM RPO,
NO BODY IS LIFTING THE TELEPHONE NOR THEY HAVE REPLIED MY FOUR EMAILS ?

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO KNOW THE STATUS OF MY APPLICATION FOR MY PASSPORT.

This is in regards with passport of my wife which is not yet delivered as yet.

online portal shows the status as "You are requested to call on this office and meet the Public Relation Officer, Cabin No. ( ) on any working day between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm. Please bring your original ration card/school leaving certificate/birth certificate/marriage certificate".

My wife had already visited the passport office and have submitted the relevant documents after looking at this status , but still nothing has happened as yet and we are still unclear about status of the passport.

Requesting you to please look into this matter.

I have applied for RENEWAL of my passport almost 4 months back in September 2011 and as I am working in a public sector orgainzation, Police enquiry is not required in my case. But still the status of my passport is showing as "Police Report has not been recieved" for last 3 months.

I relocated to Mumbai from Delhi after marriage and submitted application for fresh passport to include surname and address change. Application date 10-Oct-11; FileNo: E039134. I am in urgent need of the passport in order to get my visa formalities completed. However, the process is taking very long.

Although the police verification was completed on 20-Oct, the report was sent to RPO only on 02-Nov-11. Police website shows the verification status as complete but the passport website still shows 'Police report not received' after almost a week. I now have no way of knowing if and when the police verification report has been received by RPO. This is bound to delay the passport issuance even further.

I even sent an email to the grievance/complaints officer listed on the passport website but to no avail. At this point I am helpless, exhausted and frustrated with nowhere to go. Can you please help me out on any possible action from my side to ensure that I receive the passport soon?

This is with respect to my passport Application No. - BOM LO37453, Date of Application - 16th Sept. 2011.

I submitted the above mentioned application at Mumbai Passport Office (Bengal Chemical Bhavan, Prabhadevi, Mumbai) at the date mentioned above & after the due scrutiny of the application & payment of fees, application is accepted & receipt is issued (time taken for this process is 5 hrs.).

On 15th Oct. 2011, I received SMS stating (Ref. passport file no. BOMLO3745311 has objection, meet with all original documents & attested Xerox copies to APO Gr - L between 10.00 - 12.30 hrs).

Accordingly, on 19 Oct. 2011, I went to Mumbai passport office (Bengal Chemical Bhavan, Prabhadevi, Mumbai) at 10.30 AM to meet the APO, where I’ve been informed that I’ve to go to (Manish Commercial Centre, 216-A, Dr. A. B. Road, Worli, Mumbai) for the same.

After 45 mins wait for APO (Mrs. Mane), I’ve been informed by APO that I’ve to take a Slip from another counter to meet her. Accordingly I went to another counter & after waiting there for 1 hr. I received Visiting Slip. Again I went to APO waited for 30 more minutes & met her. She informed me to wait & she’ll call for my application form. On my insistence, she informed me that I’ve been called because my form is incomplete.

After waiting there for 3 more hrs (including lunch time) when asked, the APO told me that she has not received my application form & she doesn’t know when she’ll receive it & if I’m so eager then to go find out the peon & ask him.

It was 3.30 PM by then & due to my professional commitment & time constraints I returned to my work without resolving the passport query.

Concerns:

1.The APO (Mrs. Mane) is extremely arrogant & insensitive towards the public in general, including me. I think she needs to understand the true definition of civil servant, its values & codes.
2.How my application can be incomplete? When I’ve filled it online & it’s checked thoroughly by the passport office employee. (After 5 hrs. wait)
3.If my application was incomplete at that stage, why it was accepted with the fees?
4.Why there is a delay of 1 month (16th September to 15th October) in communicating to me that my form is incomplete?
5.There was no mention of right address in the SMS communication made by Passport office. Isn’t the proper communication important to save the time & trouble caused, to run from one office to another?
6.No one instructed or nowhere it’s displayed in the Passport office, the process of meeting APO. How APO expect us to know their internal process, without any source of information? Who is responsible for valuable time wasted in various unnecessary queues?
7.When I was carrying my passport application receipt, why I need to take another slip & fill in the same details there? Isn’t it duplication of work & wasting of our time?
8.How can it takes more than 3 hrs. to get the application file to APO?

I would like to bring to your notice that it has been more than 30 days & in spite of spending my 2 working days, my passport application is still in the infancy & unresolved stage & I’ve to take one more day off from my work to visit the passport office & go through the same tedious process again. Likewise, many people must be going through the same troubles.

Right & proactive behaviour of passport office staff, streamlined & time bound processes; proper communication & information to public could save the public time & prevent their sufferings.

I, Prerana Gurao, had applied for a new passport along with my 1 year old son, Master Anay Gurao, on the 25th Feb 2011.

After a month we had gone through the routine procedure of Police enquiry in the 3rd week of March 2011 & the necessary submission of documents & were assured that our respective passports would reach us by the be end of April 2011.

After a long wait, in the month of June 2011 & I checked our status online & was surprised to see that still both our Police verification report was pending. After talking on 1090, we were informed that our reports would be cleared by the end of that particular week. Next week after the follow up, I was further surprised to know that my report was cleared but my infant son's had not!! His report would be cleared only after a week. We were asked to be patient & wait for a couple of more days.

In the month of August 2011, I was pleasantly surprised to finally receive my passport but my son's passport still eludes us. I do not know whom to ask now as the no. mentioned on the website is never picked. (Have been trying since August!!)

Would like to formally register a complaint against the offenders.

I have applied for my new passport on[protected],Thenafter 7 days I got police verification done,then after a month same report was gone for a query via CID office as they infromed me that they already submitted the verification report to worli passport office,but still it is showing in passport website system that police verification report has not yet been submitted it is pending with passport officie.it is almost 2 months to be completed.can somebody help me regarding the same.

We are from Kolhapur Maharashtra.As our Passports issues,reissues file numbers are of Mumbai I have sent our three passports to Mumbai , chemical Bhavan ,Prabhadevi office for reissues of passports on 25 th feb 2010,they have returned two passports yesterday after too many phones,of Lav & Chandiram but of Suman Chandiram Ahuja only filled form,attachment,DD sent back passport not sent.I have tried too many times to contact by phone immediately ,they said that my old passport is with them but not received yet & now they don't answers phone even, now its 6 months I am trying to contact them repeatedly by phones & emails but no response from anywhere.Pl LET US KNOW Status of my bellow passport sent by speedpost <SP EM[protected]IN>25/2/2010 IMMEDIATELY & arrange to send it back to me.

Required documents were varifiedv with originala and found OK.On dated 18.06.2008 one letter issused by the passport office having a note -

I Have Send a request mail to RPO Mumbai that I Have submitted above required document and varified at the time of application submission and Police varification was also over at that time.Due to some my personal problem I was unable to visit the RPO Mumbai but on dated 22.07.2008 I Have visited to RPO with applicable original documents and shown to concerned person.Time to time I Have contact to RPO by help line and get message your passport is under process .
On dated 26.11.2009 I Have gone through internet and found the status - It is regrat due to some unavoidable circustances the despatch of passport has beed delayed and will now despatched in a week time.But I have not get passport ,on dated 01.02.2010 I have again go through internet same comment was there and I have mail to RPO but no any reply received from RPO Mumbai.
On dated a letter is issued by RPO Mumbai that your file is closed.
During two year span RPO Misguide me and I missed my many carrier opportunities in abroad.
So please suggest to me why this happen and what I should do now.

My Sister Sonali Revankar has applied for Passport at the Mumbai Passport office on 17th July 09. Her File No. # B-023963. She had applied for passport in Tatkal Scheme, wherein she is suppose to get her passport in 15 days. Since she is recently married and moved to Tilaknagar, Her Tilaknagar Police clearance and CID police clearance has taken place on 24th July but since she is not been residing in Tilaknagar for last 1 years, there needs to be a police clearance from Ambarnath, as she was residing here for 4 years. Her paper's have still not come for clearance at Ambarnath Police Station. We were told that the paper's have got misplaced and hence were asked to fill the form again on 7th Aug for Ambarnath Police clearance. Again when we checked, we were told that the paper's have got misplaced and were again asked to fill up the form on 3rd Sept. It is really disgusting and Pathetic to know that Passport office functions this way. The staff working there doesn't know the importance of this official document and hence this irresponsibility in their work. As on date the Paper's have not come to Ambarnath for verification. The Staff working there is just useless. They feel people donot have any other work and can come to passport office and fill the form everyday. Hope someone will look into the matter. I am sure this kind of carelessness and insincerity towards the work on part of Passport authority must be ruining lot of people's career.

Dear sir,
As in the Mumbai passport web site we need to give only one address proof, but i submitted 3 vaild address proof ( spouse's passport -issued by mumbai passport, income tax return file- it is given in the website however they are saying it is not acceptable, reputed comapny letter stating my residence address) still simply they demand 2 more address proof, it is like big headeche of getting passport .since in the web site it is given that only one address proof is sufficient still why the passport officials harassing the people? in the name of safety why they're giving trouble to innocent peoples? concerned officials pl look into this.
