Passport Office Mumbai — Sp office has not finalized my application

Address:38/985 ADARSH NAGAR, WORLI MUMBAI - 400030

I had submitted my application for the passport on 8th january 2021 and its been more than a month now as my passport verification is stil pending by the SP office. Inspite of submitting all the documents on time why is it taking so much time?
