Paytm — Refund Disabled for Customers; After several hoops, customer is still lost
Paid money through Paytm for a purchase on Yedukan. On Non-delivery of the item, cancelled the purchase. Yedukan refunded the money to Paytm. I have since requested a Refund of the money from Paytm. My mails are not acknowledged; Some were responded, and the responses seemed to be copy paste of earlier responses, since there was NOTHING from the actual problem discussed in the answers. "Paytm" now shows the money in my wallet but is NOT REFUNDING the money. When I signed up with Paytm to make the payment to merchant, Paytm terms and conditions explicitly mentioned (Clause 9 of Paytm Marketplace - https://paytm.com/terms), "...the value of such product, as originally paid by you during acceptance of delivery of product or otherwise, will be refunded to you. Refund will be processed based on the mode of payment and Paytm will credit your refunds directly into Paytm Wallet account. Refunds will be subject to the following: Orders paid online will be refunded instantly through the Paytm Wallet" Although, Paytm does not mention this anywhere in their terms & conditons, they do not ALLOW buyers to get ANY refund before their registration with Paytm is AT LEAST 60 days old. They have therefore, NO LINK for me to refund my money. Net result is I don’t have the money, nor do I know who to approach and how to resolve this complaint. Was this information helpful?

1) Their directors have been arrested in the past (and they continue as directors)
2) their customer service is available ONLY through email.. No phone lines, Complaint mails responded to by bots (or people with the lowest intelligence and even lower understanding but the lowest willingness to resolve complaints). These responses by the customer service would take between 48-72 hours and would have NO link or relevance to the problem at all.
There's hardly any way to escalate the issue. I actually escalated my issue to the worldwide CEO and the highest team, whereafter Paytm called and from taking my bank account details (for immediate REALTIME electronic transfer they said) they took 5 days to return my money, AFTER having taken my complete bank account details to do an IMMEDIATE, REAL TIME, electronic transfer)
Recently I also happened to accidentally bump into the guy who was their grievance officer; He was a high ranking executive globally, but quit paytm within 6 months of joining.
