The online service setup by PCMC (Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra, ) for residents to pay their yearly property tax is extremely difficult to use. The form asks for information, such as zone number, gat number, property number and "vaadhiv". There is NO easy way to find this information on the new property tax bill generated by PCMC. The format of the Property Bill shown on the website (see photo attached) has changed significantly in the new Property Tax Bill that PCMC actually send to property owners.
The property tax bill has 10 digit property code that has above fields encoded in some format only know to PCMC.
For example Property Number given on the bill has format "[protected].00". Where as the on-line form does not accept this number. It expects 5 digits from this number.
I have tried various combinations trying to find the "right" format of property number but have not succeeded this year.
I request to the concerned authorities to update the PCMC Property Online Services Portal with updated guide on exact format of Zone, Gat, Property and Vaadhiv number to be entered on the online form and where to find that information on property tax bill.
That will save a lot of frustration to honest tax payers who are trying to pay our taxes on time.
